Good afternoon:
I am writing to express my keen interest in the Business Operations Specialist position with Virtusa. Over the thirty years, I have designed, implemented, and optimized business processes across complex organizations in both public and private sectors. My experience has consistently centered on transforming operations into efficient, data-informed, and customer-aligned systems—precisely the type of foundation that drives Virtusa’s success in business agility and innovation.
Virtusa’s reputation for combining strategic insight with practical delivery resonates deeply with how I approach business operations. Throughout my work in change management and process improvement, I have partnered with stakeholders at every level—executives, business units, IT teams, and vendors—to translate strategic objectives into scalable, measurable workflows. I view every process enhancement not just as an efficiency gain, but as an opportunity to elevate employee productivity and the customer experience.
I led an operational redesign project that unified service fulfillment workflows across multiple departments. By mapping current-state processes, identifying redundant handoffs, and deploying new cross-functional workflows, the initiative reduced turnaround time for service requests by 20% and standardized performance reporting for executive review. I developed dashboards that visualized KPIs in real time, enabling leadership to assess trends, resolve bottlenecks, and improve service predictability—tangible outcomes that reflect exactly the type of data-driven decision-making Virtusa values.
Beyond operational design, I bring a deep understanding of business analysis and governance frameworks. I have produced and maintained documentation including SOPs, RACI matrices, and risk controls that ensured accountability and compliance across regulated environments. This foundation supports Virtusa’s commitment to excellence, audit readiness, and alignment with evolving client and regulatory standards.
What distinguishes my approach is a commitment to continuous improvement as a mindset rather than a project phase. I apply Lean methodology and root cause analysis to identify upstream issues, automate manual reporting, and simplify processes for end users. My collaborations often extend to integrating technology-driven enhancements such as automated workflows, cloud dashboards, and user-ready analytics—initiatives that amplify efficiency while reinforcing employee adoption and engagement.
Key areas of expertise that I bring to this role include:
Process Design & Optimization: Developing standardized, sustainable processes that align with business strategy and customer needs.
Performance Analytics: Building metrics, dashboards, and scorecards that translate data into actionable insights and executive transparency.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Bridging technical and business functions to co-create solutions and maintain alignment with organizational goals.
Change Enablement: Ensuring process adoption through training, communications, and structured implementation support.
Operational Risk & Compliance: Embedding governance standards and documentation into every process design to ensure control integrity.
Throughout my career, I have helped organizations deliver on enterprise-level transformation while balancing the discipline of structured governance with the agility required in fast-paced, customer-driven environments. In my recent engagement supporting a multi-year big box retailer’s ERP implementation, I worked closely with executive sponsors, operations leaders, and IT delivery teams to define scope, manage interdependencies, and establish metrics that tied directly to strategic objectives. Leading project governance activities, developing communications for senior leadership, and facilitating risk and readiness reviews were key in maintaining accountability, transparency, and momentum — competencies that align directly with your focus on championing the brand and driving program excellence.
In complex environments, success depends not only on on-scope delivery but on the ability to build trust, influence across teams, and reinforce shared purpose. My work within matrix organizations has honed these relational skills — fostering collaboration across operations, marketing, finance, and technology — and consistently earned me a reputation as a strategic partner who motivates people to contribute their best. I also bring deep familiarity with PROSCI-based change management methods and hands-on expertise in project management disciplines including risk management, stakeholder mapping, and post-project evaluations (pre- and post-mortems), ensuring continuous improvement in practices and outcomes.
What excites me most about joining Virtusa is the opportunity to apply this blend of structure and innovation in support of high-profile Canadian market initiatives. I am passionate about creating clarity where there is complexity, and I thrive in environments that blend strategic thinking with operational discipline — precisely the hallmarks of your brand success. I value the company’s leadership expectations — standing with the customer, inspiring others, and seeking new ways — as they reflect the same guiding principles that have shaped my own career.
Key Competencies Include:
Proven Portfolio & Project Management Expertise: I excel in leading end-to-end delivery of complex transformation projects, maintaining portfolio inventories, and mitigating risks to ensure alignment with strategic objectives. In recent roles, I managed multi-phase ERP rollouts using PMBOK, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies, delivering on-time projects with budgets exceeding $5M while tracking progress via standardized dashboards and governance reports presented to senior leadership. I will apply these skills to develop scalable templates and processes that strengthen your project capabilities across Canada.
Strategic Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership: As a trusted advisor to directors and executives, I build relationships across departments to foster accountability and drive collaboration through facilitated workshops and coaching on best practices. My experience engaging senior stakeholders in unionized and regulated environments—emphasizing commercial acumen and clear communication—has consistently secured buy-in for initiatives mirroring your cross-functional transformation needs. I am prepared to partner with your Director, Project Management Office, and governance committees to define objectives, value metrics, and success measures that advance your purpose-driven impact.
Process Improvement & Change Delivery Excellence: I lead business process improvements and change management with a focus on operational efficiency, applying hybrid methodologies to keep scope, schedule, and budget on track while meeting quality standards. Proficient in ARIS II as a Master Process Modeller, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel for metrics tracking and pivot analyses, Visio for process mapping, PowerPoint for executive reporting), I have overseen modernization projects yielding 20-30% efficiency gains, directly relevant to your strategic goals.
Transformation Leadership: I have led enterprise-wide transformations, including Workday and Oracle ERP deployments, guiding teams through analysis, design, implementation, hyper-care, and benefits realization phases to deliver within quality, time, and cost constraints. I partnered with C-suite executives to define operational KPIs, develop resource planning models, and implement Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and workflow tools, resulting in scalable operations and enhanced profitability. These experiences mirror your focus on leveraging innovative technologies to strengthen product offerings and client delivery models.
Operational Excellence and Data-Driven Insights: Leveraging analytical skills and tools like PowerBI, Excel, and Visio, I have improved operational data quality, established metrics for performance management, and provided stakeholder reporting that drives decision-making and continuous improvement. My PROSCI-certified change management approach has defined strategies to prepare stakeholders, mitigate risks, and embed governance, ensuring sustained adoption in unionized and global environments.
Strategic Partnership and Scalability: As a trusted advisor to Managing Directors and executive committees, I excel in influencing senior stakeholders, quantifying improvement opportunities, and prioritizing initiatives that elevate service quality amid growth. My background in process redesign, organizational restructuring, and Lean Six Sigma principles positions me to contribute to your journey toward operational scalability and brand elevation in North America.
My Forté and My Passion: serving as the “Change Management, Risk and Relationship Rain-Maker." Before ERP programs launch, it is all about generating penetrating Sponsor and Champion Roadmaps by applying my OCAI Culture Frameworks and PROSCI Processes while sustaining active, aligned engagement with a host of Stakeholders… the goal is to ensure The Team’s focused commitment to, and ownership of, achieving the Strategic Promises, Priorities, Initiatives and Projects supporting your techno-upgrades or new product launches. Given that I have successfully project-managed complex technology initiatives internationally, and having served as a Master of Change for as many as 98,000 employees of 45 Government Ministries and Agencies, I know that this would be an absolutely perfect relationship, for both of us.
Once the process was modeled, I designed, tested and administered a 360 degree suite of Process Change and Culture assessment instruments, including:
Stakeholder Engagement and Stakeholder Communications; Sponsorship Roadmaps; up-skilling Champions and Sponsors
Sustainable OCAI Culture Development; Management-Employee Operating Culture and Values Assessments
Business Case for Change, Current State/Future State Change Management Gap Analysis

This diagnostic toolkit certainly delivered for me internationally, whether executing 2 year, major transformation engagements or responding to the needs of short interval, 4 month engagements:
Following my professional practice development with Deloitte and KPMG, I founded Sharpe & Partners Global, a human resource strategy, performance improvement and change transformation consulting practice, and grew it to 4 offices across Canada, servicing Fortune 500 and many public sector institutions. Numerous at-risk operators survived budget restrictions and thereafter, thrived against strained economies due to my penetrating process management interventions that enabled the bespoke strategic planning frameworks and roadmaps. Additionally, in Dubai, my firm delivered dramatic strategic and organizational and process change services to a $1.1 billion food distribution company operating in 6 countries in addition to transforming a regional bank, 2 universities, 2 hospitals and a regional government with targeted Communications, Risk, Stakeholder and Management of Change Plans. My Management of Change Programs were designed under articulate, international sensitivities, given that dramatic change would be experienced by as many as 107 nationalities. Similarly, my Communications Work Streams, supporting the MOC Master Transformation Plans, articulated the enhancements and benefits to stakeholders, by accessing multiple communications channels.
As a contractor to my alma mater, Deloitte, I served, as Program Manager for the Human Resources, Management of Change, Communications, Engagement and Risk Work-Streams, requisite to supporting the design and implementation of the massive e-government implementation and uptake. This change management undertaking affected over 98,000 employees spanning 45 Ministries and Agencies and relied on highly effective, penetrating Sponsorship and Champion Roadmaps. Typically, “change” and “KSA” are not used in the same sentence. Significant cultural change was achieved by securing Ministerial approval to hire and up-skill, 40 female Project Managers, a cultural and religious first in the Kingdom.
I was appointed Executive Director, Strategy, Change and Performance, for a Ministry, driving an OPEX of $70 million in pursuit of 42 Strategic Initiatives, which in themselves, would precipitate monumental ERP transformational change, I formalized and staffed Process Management as a, “Service Center of Excellence” offering. Upon maturity, this Service Center of Excellence was offered to other Ministries, on a fee-for-service basis. My cultural and business process change practices became fundamental enablers against stringent timelines experienced by a very broad, cultural base.
As the Program Manager, Change Management for the 400 desk National Information Data Center, my Risk, Communications and Management of Change Engagement strategies and processes yielded a new national learning institute and an enterprise-wide adoption of, and certification to, ITIL best practice processes and technology.
As Change Management Advisor to The Board, I guided the complex merger of two of the largest publicly traded real estate developers across the GCC, to ensure the performance integrity of a $ 13 billion asset portfolio while ensuring no loss of investor confidence, nor job loss. Detailed Stakeholder Mapping ensured employee engagement. Sponsorship and Champion Roadmaps shaped a new, market-driven hybrid organizational structure which was staffed by allowing employees of either company to interview for positions in the new company, a transparent process which I marketed across both organizations. Structured Kepner-Tregoe interview formats were designed for each newco position. I created a new Authority Matrix that drove decision making down the organization to the extent possible. A new ERP solution cemented the new organization in terms of asset management, communication flow and decision making. I also oversaw the regulatory, compliance and communications of each appointment in the new company. OCAI Culture Management defined and propagated a new operating culture for the new company.
When I served as Advisor to the Chairman of the Board of Governors, for a prominent university, my work embraced 22 existing legal operating entities, each with their own HCM services. I launched a new entity, “Inspire Services,” an HCM as a Service Center. Inspire Services charged fee-for-service and per diem consulting rates, invoiced as-incurred, as financial charge-backs to each of these 22 entities. Inherent in each ticketed assignment was a bespoke Management of Change Work Plan.
Furthermore, launching an online Employee Knowledge Base from the Service Center responded to employee uncertainty and dynamically changing environments, enabling and simplifying life for so many. Our 24 Hour Call Center delivered expert management of change advice. Over and above ticketed, transactional services (eg. health, payroll, hiring, attendance etc.) our team offered Best-in-Class SLA’s which were consistently delivered at significantly reduced cost at the operating level>
What appeals most to me about Virtusa is its ability to help organizations operate with future-focused discipline—integrating analytics, human insight, and continuous innovation to deliver exceptional outcomes. I am eager to contribute to a firm with such a strong global perspective on business transformation and to help strengthen the operational backbone that supports Virtusa’s clients and projects in Canada.
I would welcome the opportunity to further discuss how my experience in business operations, process excellence, and cross-functional collaboration can add value to your team. Thank ou for considering my application—I look forward to the possibility of contributing to Virtusa’s ongoing success.
Certainly, I have enjoyed a rewarding professional career and now, I want to give back to the community that gave so much to me. I can deliver as your "Business Operations Consultanthttps://www.linkedin.com/jobs/view/432-***-****/?alternateChannel=search&eBP=CwEAAAGa1rQ_9QTaQ6n5LmH5j3i0tCGsMiOav9gYOFQLKzmYvT9gtdmqON24nZoUrVwzMCNPMZx9yJW1lvZpVAj0YzcmwU_XnUcXMTVFiYRd5UfS4u6XLhnHdoVAftYJdo86X00G-HyI3n8KJCxOiDkEijkPKk7Onc297-8qqMLh5G43wrlJhGKYC8NAIvGaEBn0_n2iWDSofMNK9IhUXUR4GV2kXR34NsZMdMhstKSKljeYsMogdbnPqzGNRqv3Q28to3a1Evymhsc2aCHqxswsc3NQSskKDiAHHAQpJO70LsIlS3Hsvr0I7A3UuqLE5sufnaRx4LaU8oIJPzR_WNrFuRqxUkO3agkVSrdlF7tJBh2-Rfww_41zPO8zidLDZTgA93S7evDc8baK-RcY4ItwMPHCP6RbOB8xLIYmtfqkhf97lVexC5Jmq4qlqrQCCOFFpP1RmoT01emdjeUAN0mLCfrit8oLQgOTInrh7PNn60MPneVy4e2fcua4aLsRXk2PTDI&refId=Q%2FcSk7lEfB%2FZMdf8WY5jJg%3D%3D&trackingId=7i1cmiOGIKyv2wzW1gYTgQ%3D%3D&trk=d_flagship3_search_srp_jobs."
