1. Develop, implement, and manage the MA Workforce Development Program. 1. Serve as liaison between Hamilton Health and outside agencies and schools regarding student placement, training, and apprenticeships. Collaborates with Harrisburg University to coordinate the in-person skills lab and externship opportunities. 2. Recruits and trains MA students, connects apprentices with preceptors and supports them throughout the apprenticeship program.
3. Serve as the primary contact for Carus/CareerStep and National Institute for Medical Assistant Advancement (NIMAA)
4. Provides student presentations to interested high school students, interviews selected candidates, coordinates orientations, scores and recommend applicants. 5. Attends monthly meetings with Carrus/CareerStep/NIMAA Externship Organization, Site Facilitator and Preceptors.
6. Ensures Preceptors and Site Facilitator upload information on student performance, attendance, and skills acquisition on a regular basis.
