Resume:

Pat McDaniels

Overview

I was most recently a Retail Lead at an Amazon Go store. As a Lead at the store, I worked in many different roles within the store. I might lead the overall shift team, work replenishing the sales floor, work in the kitchen area both preparing ingredients for the food and preparing made-to-order customers selections. I spent a great deal of my time working at the customer service desk processing return items, checking identification for alcohol and nicotine sales, and answering general questions about the store and its many facets. Amazon elected to close all the “Go” stores but, as we were closing out the store, I had many customers go out of their way to come find me and express that they would miss me personally. I would be a great asset to your company.

Experience

Retail Lead

4/2025 – 2/2026

The operations of the store were largely placed upon the store leads. Assigning the scheduled team members to the various work zones, which included the customer service desk, replenishing the sale floor, the made-to-order kitchen, and the other duties that would arise during the varied shifts. The leads were also tasked with cash management, ordering the non-inventory stock, making sure that the shipments of floor merchandise was processed in a timely manner, monitoring food safety both in the kitchen and on the sales floor, monitoring expired product in both the front and back of house and maintaining a safe environment for the workers and shoppers alike.

ASSISTANT RETAIL MANAGER

11/2021 – 9/2024

Although I was the Retail Assistant Manager, I was also responsible for the whole store, in the absence of Store managers. I have done Teams meetings and projected sales goals. I have a proven track record for increasing sales both daily and annually. I created the retail schedule 3 weeks in advance. Keeping the store operating with a limited staff.

Some companies have both internal theft and theft from customers. In my first year, I brought proof of internal theft ring to Asset Protection who, in turn, were able to get that theft stopped. I was also able to reduce external theft by placing a person at the store entrance to check receipts, and bags.

GENERAL MANAGER MOTEL 6

I started working at Motel 6 in Everett WA in November 2015. Within 18 months, I became the General Manager. During the pandemic, I was one of few Motels that had increased sales. We had 99 rooms, and I handled all scheduling of employees and overhaul work that needed done. I worked with law enforcement keeping drugs, dealers and prostitution out of the Motel. I made large cash deposits daily. I made sure employees were trained for the best quality and efficiency. I did the hiring, coaching and termination. I handled ordering and daily sales projections. When we were closed for 3 months during the pandemic, I used this time to re–paint both the interior and exterior, and made sure the rooms were remodeled and ready to re – open.
