Review the P&ID, GA drawings and isometric, plan, and support drawing
Check the all the receiving materials against project specifications (Consumables like Welding Electrodes, Coating material, Pipes, Flanges, Gaskets, Fittings)
Structural materials, Valves etc.) data sheet, drawings and MTC's and monitoring storage condition.
Conduct Welding Procedure Qualification Test (WPQT) Record all the necessary data and Welding Parameter. Conduct visual inspection before NDE & Mechanical test and prepared WPS.
Conduct Welder Qualification Test (WQT) as per approved WPS. Carryout in-process inspection and verify all the variables comply with WPS. Conduct visual inspection before NDE test. Issuing Welder ID card after accepted of NDE and mechanical test.
Monitoring of welding parameters as per WPS, such as Heat input, Technique, and the welding process (GTAW, SMAW).
Inspection of edge preparation, such as bevel angle, root face, roots gap and surface clean accordance with specification.
Inspected dissimilar metal joining such as stainless steel to carbon steel and DSS, Inconel alloy materials.
Prepare the weld map for the fabrication of isometric drawings which shall be marked at the appropriate and required shop and field where weld is specified as company symbols.
Monitoring and documentation of traceability of the materials
Monitoring of pre heat, inter pass temperature and inter pass cleaning as per WPS.
Inspection of purging gas level and dams.
Visual inspection of welded joint profile, surface finish and defects.
Preparation of joints for NDE as per required inspection class.
Offering of joints and organizing the NDE team.
Monitoring of PWHT and review of its charts.
Witness of Hardness Test and PMI, Ferrite test.
Radiography film interpretation.
Marking of defect location for Repair as per NDE result.
Monitoring of consumable storage, handling, baking, drying temperature and shielding gas purity certificate review.
Witnessed the removal of defect and rectification as per approved repair procedure.
Co-ordination with clients, production team and NDE crew.
Conducting and documenting of the quality training to production team, fitters, and welders.
Periodic internal auditing systematic process on site condition.
Issuing RFI (Request for Inspection) on daily basis to arrange daily inspection at site with the Client.
Proper maintenance and storage of repair and accepted films.
Prepare the hydro test pack, Punch List and approval for piping pre commissioning on all aspects.
Reporting non-conformances and follow up for corrective action.
Reviewed all types of process documentations required for fabrication, erection, and commissioning, etc.
Attending internal project progress meeting and client weekly meeting.
Prepare and submit QC Dossier and IRN issue for the final dispatch of the production and review
of the MRB.
Mechanical QC inspector in mechanical maintenance.
