● Collaborated with a vendor to resolve product quality issues, providing a savings in excess of $35,000 in 6 months.
● Developed new research testing protocols, applying statistics and experimental design, for assessing the effectiveness of competing equipment in structural drying applications, i.e. a prototype radial downdraft fan, a prototype radiant wire heated blanket for drying water damaged wood floors with dramatic results in the reduction in drying time, an adjustable window adapter product to facilitate the placement of temporary ductwork for water damage remediation equipment. ● Conceived, developed, implemented, and trained personnel on the use of a BOM database using MS Access to automate the reporting of BOM information to purchasing and manufacturing, i.e. automated reporting of materials requirements, cutting lists, stock pull lists, and data uploads to Growth Power materials management business software.
● Improved and managed the production schedule for two companies: Alkar and Rapidpak. Developed a gross margin tool to monitor project costs against the estimate for the entire project portfolio; Alkar and Rapidpak.
● Developed and authored product design and manufacturing specifications for indirect gas-fired heat exchangers, clean-in-place systems, welding, and stainless-steel passivation procedures. Developed several custom engineering sizing / design applications to assist project engineers with routine calculations for the design of standard systems to meet customer requirements.
