Project Manager in the Professional Services group, responsible for managing multiple upgrade projects, concurrently.
Below are some of the projects managed:
Support the transaction of a ‘Mfg. Company’ running JDE World to a new selected software. We were asked to support JDE World products and assist with migration to the selected software.
Upgrade Software and Tools to Ver 9.2 in US and Japan account and transaction to Syntax managed services, requiring functional and technical effort with integration. There were two teams managed, one in Japan and one in the US depending on where the work was being performed; (Sales, Finance, and inventory management was handled in the US while the manufacturing and inventory in Japan). I worked with the internal staff to develop the requirements, followed by developing test plan(s), performing the testing, and turnover of the
changes to managed services and go-live.
Canadian City, upgraded the tools release to ver 9.2. Prepared an upgrade plan, testing scripts from
Financials modules and go-live turn over.
Pharmaceutical manufacturing company; Syntax had implemented the Financial System and
the Mfg. Company wanted to Implement the Inventory System and Procurement. I worked
with the Mfg. CFO to develop revised business requirements and with Syntax consultants to
perform configuration and implementation of the Financial, Inventory System and Procurement System in a live state.
Suez Canal Company performed a technical upgrade of the Tools to Ver 9.2 which was
accomplished during the migration of the software. Prepared and managed an upgrade plan,
testing scripts, and go-live turnover of Financials, and Inventory.
Food service Company performed a technical upgrade of the Tools to Ver 9.2. Prepared and
managed an upgrade plan, Financial and distribution testing scripts, and go-live turn over.
Energy Services Company required a technical upgrade of the Tools to Ver 9.2. I prepared and
managed an upgrade plan, Financial, distribution testing scripts, and go-live turn over.
Canadian Institute for Cancer Research upgraded the tools release to ver 9.2 which also
required upgrading the financial application software.

Water technologies company HQ in Paris France was acquired in a Syntax merger and was moved from OnPrem to AWS Hosted of Financials, distribution. Reconfigured database processes to improve performance; worked with the Syntax Database group and the ‘Client IT’ resolving all open issues. Working with ‘Client’ and Syntax I was able to extend the Contract for two years.

I provided vision, leadership and change management process within the Manufacturing and Planning functional areas; participated in strategy planning activities working closely with the BU in the development of process improvements to improve quality and increase productivity to achieve business goals. I led interface activities between JD Edwards 9.2 and other third-party systems like DSI and provided on-going support of BU within the Manufacturing and Planning processes by providing audit of services and troubleshooting functions.
Below are examples of projects:
Morgan was in go-live when I arrived, I was called upon to provide support for go-live testing
and documentation. Provided these services on an as needed basis and traveled to my other
assignments.
Masterack business processes were not functioning effectively, and I was asked to evaluate and make changes, perform testing, etc of Financials; perform analysis of the performance of the supply chain products, Item master, Inventory, Procurement, Manufacturing and made changes to the setup and configuration to enhance the performance of the financial system.
The Leer Group was a combination of Companies in southern California, Indiana and a new
facility in Mexico. The plans were to reorganize and open a manufacturing facility in Mexico
and close the SOCAL facility. I performed the business analysis of Finance, Sales, Inventory, Mfg. to reconfigure the Ca and Indiana operations and went to Mexico to manage the setup and configuration, training, setup of the business processes of the new facility using JDE business applications, Finance, Inventory, Mfg., etc. This was a challenge because Mexico laws must be followed, and the Company business plan followed. The idea was to move raw material from the US to the manufacturing facility, manufacture the product, when manufacturing was completed in Mexico ship it back in bulk to the US for marketing. We completed the project as designed, with minimal delays, largely due to staffing.
Federal Eagle, I went to Ohio to perform an evaluation of the Federal Eagle facility; there were
management changes and there were some questions of modifying the existing custom software or converting it to JDE 9.2. Corporates position was to migrate to JDE 9.2 as all other locations, when I left the company, the decision had not been made.
