Professional Summary

My employment objective is to find a position that is flexible with my schedule as a mother. I have three children in three separate schools and my pick up/drop off times are not negotiable, or always able to be shared with the other parent. I also would love to find a position that has a potential for my creative input. Work Experience

Site Lead Supervisor

Ricoh USA,-Cleveland, WI

April 2023 to Present

After the Follett Lakeshore Technical College bookstore closed down, I transferred to the Copy Center at Lakeshore, to replace two employees who were retiring. I was very blessed to be able to essentially transfer just down the hall from my previous employment. I was able to maintain relationships with LTC employees and transfer my knowledge of the bookstore inner-workings to how we executed course packet creation in the copy center. Worked diligently with my Senior On Site Service Specialist to navigate updates and necessary improvements to everything from monthly billing to course packet creation (working hand-in-hand with nursing instructors), organizational improvements in the office, paper and materials updates, programming, etc. I have become the person who sits down with an instructor and goes through a previous course packet page by page (sometimes we have books that are 40 pages, sometimes they're 600) to create the most effective and affordable option for the student. The position has been ideal for a creative background, and I have learned how to put together actual books

(one instructor's poetry chapbook was published through our copy center), create certificates, program documents, etc. I have loved my time with Lakeshore and Ricoh in the Copy Center, but our contract is currently up for bid and if Ricoh (whom I am employed through) is not chosen, then I will be looking for another position. Hence, the updated resume.

Website, Events, Media Communications

Shady Lane Greenhouse-Menomonee Falls, WI

April 2014 to Present

Shady Lane is a small family-owned Greenhouse and Landscaping company in Menomonee Falls. I work with them on a very part-time basis, wherein I help maintain their webpage and Facebook updates, as well as planning events and creating marketing materials for those events. I maintain weekly contact with everyone in management at the Greenhouse, working with horticulturalists on updating information for our newsletter, which I also write weekly. I typically work for about 20 hours per week on Greenhouse needs - 100% remotely.

Event Planning & Marketing

Cream City Creatives Craft Fair

January 2013 to Present

Cream City Creatives Holiday Arts & Craft Fair is an annual holiday craft fair located each year in Milwaukee, WI, at the Historic Turner Hall Ballroom. We have had anywhere from 3000-5000 people come through our fairs over the years, as well as working directly with anywhere from 40-65 artists and vendors yearly. CCC was established in

2014, but prior to that, one of the co-owners, Jennifer, and I started and worked on the original Art at the Gardens craft fair, located at Boerner Botanical Gardens, between 2007 and 2013. My duties include connecting with marketing opportunities, and advertising the fair and vendor application. This is an unpaid position, however, I do then receive my craft fair booth free of charge. Position averages approximately 3-5 hours of work, per week, between late July and November. N/a Artist, Piano Teacher

Self-Employed

November 2009 to Present

I have maintained self-employment as an artist and piano teacher for over a decade. I had my first son in 2009, and after leaving my job at Boerner Botanical Gardens in November, 2009, began to supplement income teaching beginning piano lessons. At most, I was up to 14 students. As far as art goes, I create in my spare time, as the mood strikes, and have had pieces in shows as close as Manitowoc, Sheboygan, Belgium and Milwaukee, to being a part of shows as far away as San Francisco. I have sold wholesale one of a kind, handmade jewelry pieces to the Milwaukee Public Museum gift shop, and have consigned in several small shops between Manitowoc and Chicago.

Assistant Manager

Follett Higher Education Group-Cleveland, WI

November 2021 to April 2023

Customer service and bookstore assistant manager. I am responsible for book sales, rentals, check-ins, handling mid-range dollar amount payments from local businesses for their apprenticeship’s textbooks. I handle day to day operations, maintained detailed records of invoices and Purchase Orders, financials, daily counts, and I am solely responsible for receiving new inventory of all non-textbook merchandise. During my time with Follett, I have also been surprised to find myself in the position of resident tech support. I installed and maintained an internet booster, and bypassed several problems by researching solutions and working to resolve issues. Handling of caps and gowns, and other graduation details, apprentice details, monthly major accounts organization, as well as the programs for high school students, and the detailed and unique requirements for each group. Daily shipping and receiving, use of shipping software and Follett specific course material organizational software, inventory management, etc. I have enjoyed the opportunity for all my employment backgrounds to sort of meld into this position. I am sad our store is closing down, and can assure, if it was not, I would be there for the long haul because I am committed to my job and the people we serve.

2021 Administrative & Website Maintenance

Northeastern Wisconsin Area Health Education Center (NEWAHEC) April 2018 to June 2021

Worked independently and in team settings. Served for three years with the coalition for Substance Abuse Prevention. Notetaking, agendas, events, general administrative duties, and several large projects. Some of my projects included: Photo Voice campaign

(traveling exhibit of photos taken by local youth, expressing what made them feel more connected to their community), In Plain Sight campaign (backpacks filled with objects that could be used by youth to hide drugs, alcohol or tobacco - created specificially to take the place of a previous campaign with a moveable bedroom setup, to help educators and guardians get an idea of all the places youth may hide contraband. Our backpacks were distributed to several local high schools, the Boys and Girls Club, etc.), amongst other projects. I worked closely with the NEWAHEC team on creating and implementing a way to highlight recent graduates through our Scholars Program, wherein we took applicants to job-shadow and learn about the rural healthcare employment markets, communities and prospective patients. Additionally, I was responsible for webpage updates, including the Health Department of Manitowoc County's webpage. Also, with the program MemberClicks, I helped create a website and sign-up for a large two day workshop, containing numerous classes and writing bios for speakers and keynotes. Obtained an Epipen Certification for the office. I also worked closely with the underage drinking campaign, to get local businesses more familiar with sales and legal age compliance, as well as working with the Tobacco is Changing campaign on many of the same points, including festival toolkits, where we created a kit for festival organizers to ensure the legal drinking age be adhered to. I remained employed from home for the entirety of 2020, and was let go in June, 2021, when a number of NEWAHEC's grants were not renewed due to Covid and budgetary cuts.

General Administrative

Manitowoc Area Visitor & Convention Bureau

August 2015 to April 2018

I worked closely with older volunteers, as well as community members, writing up event descriptions and advertising them accordingly. Timliness, and knowledge of local businesses was vitally important, especially as we worked with Travel Wisconsin to get our County Travel book published each year. Attended Travel Wisconsin workshops, took free classes at the Manitowoc Public Library, met with local officials, planned special events for our employees, welcomed Great Lakes Ferry visitors upon docking, and worked independently on designs for sale in our giftshop (magnets, postcards, etc. depicting local attractions and slogans). Additionally, I managed the large LED sign information, including training other employees on how to use the programs. I created monthly newsletters and made updates to event calendars.

Assistant to Manager

Boerner Botanical Gardens

June 2009 to December 2009

Temporary position during transition from working full time for the Milwaukee Public Museum, to being home with my first child (born December, 2009). I assisted in training, scheduling, maintaining registers, helping garden club members, tours, events, older volunteers, the Art at the Gardens Craft Fair, kid's workshops, ordering and buying for the gift shop, and knowledge of flowers and plants.

Co-Manager

Traveling Titanic Exhibit, Milwaukee Public Museum May 2008 to June 2009

Co-managerial position in the traveling Titanic Gift Shop, in the Milwaukee Public Museum. As I had already been employed for some time for the Milwaukee Public Museum, it was a great transition into the temporary managerial position, with the expectation that the job would end when the exhibit ended. High levels of visitors, fast paced, long hours: position had little to no outside direction, virtually no contact with company heads, and because the main company was sold during the run of our local show, it was an organizational nightmare. Stock was not guaranteed, we had 4 different head bosses within a 10 month period of time. Following the exhibit's closure, my co- manager and I were asked to travel with the exhibit and its new parent company, to the St. Paul Science Museum, and run the gift shop there for a year. Both of us declined the offer. Education
