Construction Senior Project Manager/Senior Estimator: October 2022 to September 2025

During this time, I have performed Freelance and Short-Term contract opportunities, working with several Organizations in the Construction field nationwide. I have worked with the State of Kentucky in the Design Engineering and Construction Administration group. I was the Field Project Manager for the construction of the Alberta O Jones Park in Western Louisville. I also worked for a large contractor in Indianapolis performing work at Waste Management of Kentucky in Louisville, and I just completed work as a Senior Estimator for a contractor that performs drainage facility maintenance for “Big Box” stores nationwide.

Contract Administrator: May 2015 – May 2017

From April 2015 to May 2017, I worked as a Contract Administrator in LG&E and KU’s Project Engineering Division. I worked on projects at the Ghent, Mill Creek, and Trimble County Generating Stations. My primary responsibilities included the Contract Administration for projects related to the Coal Combustion Residual Process Water System project. These projects include the Owner’s Engineer Agreement, the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract, estimating cost, procurement, and coordination of the construction of pilot plants at Trimble County and Mill Creek, as well as coordinating extensive negotiations for the piloting of selenium removal technologies. Additionally, I have worked on various projects at several other Generating Stations, including a WFGD rehabilitation project at Ghent, a pond maintenance project at Trimble, and a gypsum pad construction at Mill Creek.

From 1991 until 1999, I served as an Area Team Customer Specialist. In this position, I was responsible for Construction Management of MSD capital sanitary and drainage projects. These duties included the oversight of construction and the estimating and management of changes orders to the contract. Projects included work on several large sewer expansions. During the last two years of this time, I was the direct supervisor of eleven field inspectors in the Mill Creek expansion. Additionally, I was responsible for conducting public meetings and communications with the public and Stakeholder Groups prior to and during construction activities.

In October 1999, I was promoted into the Operations Division. In this capacity, my work resulted in an appointment to the East Region Operation Manager position. I had direct operational and regulatory responsibility over fifteen treatment plants and their collection systems. This included gathering, reporting and submitting all Operational Data to the Regulatory Agencies.

From 2008 until my Early Retirement in 2013, I worked in the Engineering Division where I was responsible for Construction Engineering and Management on Major Capital, Emergency, and Infrastructure and Flood Protection projects. These projects were necessary in order to implement the Federal Consent Decree. These projects required a high level of comfort in communicating with Stakeholder Groups, including Public Officials, Regulatory Agencies, Utilities, and other interested parties in order to communicate the Company’s position.
