FEA structural analyst on Engineering projects for military vehicles components as contractor to GDLS programs. Projects include Chassis, powertrian, structural and mechanical systems. Use of Altair hyperworks, Optistruct, Nastran, LSDYNA, RADIOSS and others to develop CAE simulation for linear and nonlinear structural analyses for durability, survivability and performance for different requirements such as shock, transportation, fatigue, impact and thermal loading conditions. Typical FE systems analyzed; nonlinear and linear analysis of Tracked vehicles suspension and powertrain components, cooling systems, full vehicle lifting & emergency towing, various supporting brackets against shock and vibration. Projects include CAE of axle, chassis and suspension systems as well as powertrain components.

Lead project management of restraints systems such as airbags, seatbelts to design counter measures for automotive systems to meet government regulations. Work also include dummy investigations and human biomechanics using CAE tools such as Altair hypermesh and LS-DYNA (also, RADIOSS and ABAQUS).. Projects also included biomechanics of injury risks (HIC, Nij, Tibia index ..etc) and human body modeling simulations. The group also supports legal efforts and provides technical support for government replies to different NHTSA regulations such as 208, 214, 210, 201, 213 and others. Some projects monitor and evaluate new and advanced dummies simulations such as THOR, POLAR II, BioRID, RID III...etc. Occupant analysis and simulation.

Responsibilities also include monitoring university contracts in the area of biomechanics and safety systems, training students such as Ph.D. candidates from Autoliv in safety and crash thesis project issues related to safety. Training involves use of HyperWorks tools such as meshing, plotting, scripting, optimization and analysis. Components and full body models were analyzed for optimum designs including seats, seat belts, airbags, bumper systems, IPs and various body components such as A & B-pillars. Some P/T components were also analyzed using CAE such as gaskets, engine and accessory drive brackets.

Product developed using CAE were part of different full car models such as Jeep Cherokee, Mini-Van, avenger and PT Cruser.
