Job Responsibilities:

• Go through quality related documents, i.e. approved Quality Control Procedures (QCP), Welding Procedure Specification (WPS), applicable drawings, technical specifications, and standard codes such as ASME, ASNT, API, & project standard.

• Effective maintain and implement of all the Quality control procedure in the project.

• Ensuring that all approved QC Inspection team are continuously checking and monitoring all work activities.

• Managing and leading the QC team (Welding and Piping).

• Continuously update Welding Engineer on project requirements to technically support them in the preparation of procedure qualification (PQR) test, Welder Performance Qualification various processes

(SMAW, GTAW). Provide training and technical guidance to inspection personnel.

• Maintaining WPS, PQR and WQT used by the contractors and updating regularity. Closely monitoring the weekly weld repair rate of each welder. Procedure Qualification Record (PQR) as per ASME Sec IX and B31.3.

• To ensure construction follows all the related Client standards and procedures during all the construction activities.

• Receiving Inspection and verification of welding consumables for Mechanical properties, type, source, segregation, storage, issue and handling etc...

• Witnessing and verification PMI of Stainless-Steel consumables (as required).

• Witnessing and Confirm welding equipment and instruments are calibrated.

• Monitor welding ovens, baking, holding and quivers (portable) ovens calibrations records.

• Inspection to ensure gap control for socket joints and seal welding for thread covering.

• Visual examination of root passes, penetration, undercut, cracks, slag and porosity. Check completed joints for excessive reinforcement and other surface irregularities.

• Witnessing and verifying modification or rework after weld acceptance to ensure compliance with revised drawings.

• Conducted Weld visual inspection and review daily welding reports.

• In-Depth verification of Repairs concluding the root cause, working out with the assigned welding inspector for proper surveillance of welder performances.

• Inspected various materials such as CS, LTCS, Alloy, CU-NI, Stainless Steels Inconel, Incoly and CRA according to QCP, ITP & WPS.

• Handled Welding Process: - GTAW, SMAW and FCAW.

• Witnessing Repair work of Weld joints to ensure work is carried out in accordance with approved procedure.

• Witnessing PT, UT, MT, MPI and ensures that required NDE has been covered as per the project specification.

• Maintain a logbook for all reports, inspections and tests including date, time and results of Calibration certificates.

• Issuing NCR’s when non-conformity activities were noted by the subcontractors or contraction team.

• Provide Toolbox meetings on site / shop for welders and fitters for proper fit up, welding and explain them to Quality requirements of the Project.

• Preparation of RFI for final inspection to client inspector in timely manners as per ITP’s and coordinating with him about to all issues.

• Coordinating with client/consultants while the inspection is being carried out and offering any clarification is required.

• Conduct line checking of pipeline and prepare punch lists works for system packages before hydro-test, pneumatic test or service test.

• Witness for the hydro test, service test, and pneumatic test of various systems as per the approved procedure and code specification and offering to the client/consultant to witness the test.

• Witness for hydro test of different type of valves (Gate Valve, Globe Valve, Butterfly Valve, and different types of Control Valve.

• Organizing and coordinating all necessary items and activities for hydro testing of completed lines including cleaning, flushing, drying, lay-up, and reinstatement.

• Verification of closed punch items and conduct walk through for each completed piping system prior to mechanical acceptance.

• Inspection of Shell plate vertical fit up and horizontal fit up
