Stuart Betheil has been serving the New York real estate industry for over 45 years, with extensive experience and knowledge in both property management and emergency preparedness planning, response, and recovery.
Mr. Betheil attended Herbert H. Lehman College (CUNY)
While attending Lehman, Mr. Betheil worked part time as an assistant property manager for Daniel D, Cole & Company, managing residential and industrial properties in the New York area.
After receiving his B.S. degree in Housing Management and Urban Studies, Mr. Betheil advanced to working with several large management agencies, increasing his knowledge and skills, progressing to higher levels of responsibility and achievement.
During his property management career, Mr. Betheil has managed over 70 sites with some of the most well-known and prestigious buildings in the New York area. He has worked with developers on both new construction and renovation projects, as well as construction companies and management companies.
Mr. Betheil was a founding partner at R. F. Stuart Real estate, a full-service management and brokerage company in Manhattan. Once the company was established, Mr. Betheil created Fleet West Management in Westchester County and expanded the Fleet West portfolio to15 sites.
While pursuing his career in property management, Mr. Betheil volunteered for 5 years as an Emergency Medical Technician Volunteer (Lt.) in the City of Yonkers, NY.
He then volunteered for over 20 years with the American Red Cross in Westchester County, NY, as a member of the Disaster Response Team and Chairman of Logistics. He progressed to fill the role of Chairman of Disaster Services and was appointed to the Chapter Board of Directors. He then was engaged as the staff Director of Emergency Services. It is notable that Mr. Betheil is the only member to hold all three of these positions during his Red Cross Career.
In 2007, Mr. Betheil created a new mission for his company: Fleet West Management Corp. transitioned to provide consulting support services relating to general property management operations, emergency / disaster preparedness, continuity of operations and risk / hazard analysis.
He continues to be involved in community service as an active member of the Westchester County Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) and the Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service team. Mr. Betheil is a Board member of the Advisory Council of Managing Agents of the Builders Institute of Westchester and Putnam Counties. He also has served as a consultant and advisor to government, educational and corporate entities in the New York area. Additionally, he works as a Fire Safety Instructor / Drill Coordinator, maintaining a Certificate of Fitness with the FDNY.
