In this position I am assigned to the IT Infrastructure Services Department with responsibilities for providing engineering and operational support of the Global Operations Services (GOS) operating platform with an emphasis on Payment Card Industry (PCI) Compliance, Server Platform Creation, Management and Active Directory Services along with Vulnerability Management. Served as team lead for an in-sourcing project and project manager on the Point of Care project. Served as the primary point of contact for escalations in the Southeast and Central regions involving identity and access management and network operations.

Inherited four financial and banking accounts that previously failed compliance audits. Within a six-month period, successfully guided and directed activities enabling accounts to pass the audits with zero defects.

Infrastructure Manager/System Administrator/PCI Coordinator

Designed, developed and implemented an enterprise-wide computer information system strategy for the ‘Prescription Continuity of Care System (PCCS) Network located in the University of Mississippi NOC.

Analyzed, evaluated and proposed network architecture, including hardware, software, protocols, topology and security in an effort to provide the University of Mississippi, School of Pharmacy with an information system to proactively respond to the Health Insurance Portability Accountability Act

(HIPAA). This effort netted the University a $5M federal grant to study prescription drug use for the center for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

Managed the system development and architectural solutions leading to proof of concept and Federal system certification and accreditation, including the implementation of the following: Multi-

standards and protocols, IP-based networking protocols, high-to-low security guards, and information assurance including Web application vulnerability assessments.

Implemented an ‘enterprise single sign-on’ using the Oracle and Sun Identity Management Strategy products that worked with existing Smart Cards, Digital Certificates, Biometrics and Wireless LAN Security currently in place at the University of Mississippi and could be integrated with existing communications world-wide.

Developed the PCCS system security plan, security architectures, security test and evaluation plan, accreditation plan and procedure, risk assessment and the disaster recovery plan. Integrated Clariion and Sans technology into the PCCS project for future growth.

Served as a team member of the University of Mississippi’s network operations center troubleshooting group designed to investigate critical outages for the student databases.

Implemented real-time vulnerability scanning for the PCCS Web Site using customized commercial off the shelf products which reduced the cost and increased the security of the site. The published and proven results of this effort was so successful that the School of Pharmacy and the University used the test results to obtain funding to protect other critical resources.

Served as the System and Security Manager for the Enlisted and Officer Assignment Information Systems, Officer Distribution Ad-hoc Query Information System, Job assignment Selection System, Message Management System, Classified Network, PCS Order Archival System and as a Team Member for the DIHMERS Joint Personnel System. Managed all security assessments and vulnerability scanning for the Distribution Department to reduce or mitigate any findings to maintain federal accredidation.
