PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
2022 – 2025
Prescott Women’s Clinic – provided GYN care for women - teenage through menopause and beyond, helping women navigate the perimenopause and menopausal years gracefully.
I am proficient in endometrial biopsies, heparin instillations for interstitial cystitis patients, IUD and Nexplanon insertions/removals, pellet insertions of estrogen and testosterone, and diaphragm/cervical cap and pessary fittings. I am equally at ease with teenagers visiting for a first exam and peri and post menopausal care for the more mature woman, addressing atrophy, incontinence, prolapse issues, dyspareunia and bone density issues. I encourage HRT/TRT for men and women, including pellet insertion. I encourage weight control as a basic tool for health. I am familiar with four types of EMR. I conduct a weight loss clinic in the Prescott, AZ area, meeting with clients weekly. I
stress lifestyle changes, exercise, dietary changes and medications when appropriate.
2015 -2022
A Woman’s Place - medical provider in this facility as an independent contractor. Practicing with Dr. Alison Cooper, the office cares for the gynecologic needs of women from puberty to the elderly. In this setting I specialized in HRT/TRT for both men and women. Along with the usual gyn procedures, this office sharpened my skills diagnosing, referring and caring for those with PCOS, lichen sclerosis, endometrial hyperplasia and cancers. I became more adept at incorporating holistic approaches for those more comfortable with alternative medicine.
2001-2015
East Valley Ob-Gyn Medical Group and Oasis Ob/Gyn Medical Group. In collaborative practice with Dr. Lisa Hollar, Dr. Shelly Messer and Dr Mohammed Akl - urogynecolgist, these medical groups administer to obstetrical and gynecological and urologic patient needs. I have assisted with urodynamic studies, cystoscopies and vasectomies.
2006-2008
To become more proficient in primary care areas, I moved my patients to Lifescape, sharing space with a large group of family practice physicians. The owner and founder of Lifescape, Dr. Susan Wilder, proved to be a valuable mentor - www.lifescapemed.com
Lifescape became dedicated to concierge medicine in 2008. I left, blending my personal patients into East Valley ob/gyn and later, Oasis. I do remain active in the “Lifescape Family”, however, and have given seminars to family practice providers on current gyn issues and concerns.
2004 – 2006
Clinica Latina. Sharing office space with Dr Ronald Yunis, I continued my own gyn practice with an age range of puberty to post-menopausal women. I took accelerated Spanish classes - (I now read and write fluently, but remain “Spanish mute”). Although this office provided me with a most intense learning experience, it was primarily dedicated to obstetrical services, and did not fit my gyn client base. In 2006, the opportunity arose for me to move my clients to a family practice office in north Scottsdale.
1998-2010
Medical Legal Consultant - I have summarized medical charts and conducted literature searches on a case by case basis for Begam, Lewis, Marks, and Wolfe.
