As Marketing Director, oversaw strategic design, implementation, and management of all on/off-line marketing strategies and events targeting industry executives, media, state and federal officials, and associated community organizations promoting Utah as the national/worldwide epicenter for composites and advanced manufacturing. Increased outdoor manufacturing membership by over 250% and helped secure $2,250,000+ in funding for members through community grants and funding sources. Spent over 150 days traveling throughout Utah touring manufacturing facilities, academic institutions, and government offices learning about the many facets of composites, injection molding, additive manufacturing, UAVs, and other advanced materials and manufacturing processes. Worked with executive board members from brands like Black Diamond, Goal Zero, Specialized, Cotopaxi, DPS Skis, Jaybird, GOEO Utah as well as State legislators and academic leadership to improve the business economy for Utah’s outdoor brands.. Responsible for all association strategies and execution of core initiatives. Collaborated with government entities, non-profits, academic institutions, and financial centers to build sustainable programs aimed at economic and career development and reducing bureaucratic hurdles. Ran monthly business education events, in-person and online, covering business best practices. Stood up multiple chapters with standalone operators to increase organizational footprint across the State. Developed volunteer list and managed communications, membership, events, and leadership committees. Managed membership and board expectations. Successfully lobbied and won State appropriation for $118,000 to obtain funding that would allow for the continued operations of the Utah Outdoor Association.
