I believe my training at Job Corps helped to set me up with necessary skills to thrive at any job. I worked a lot with my hands and learned to build things. I learned the industry standards to prepare me for high-skill, quality employment and oversee the general conditions of building. I learned basics to maintain and repair machines, mechanical equipment, flooring, plumbing, electrical systems, and HVAC systems. I learned to diagnose issues and decide the best way to fix them. I studied to learn reading blueprints and meet with clients to estimate repairs or costs. I was taught to be organized and keep detailed records of my work.
