Managed the re-engineering process within administration, resulting in better internal controls, reducing conflicts of interest, and more efficient AR collections.

•Collaborated with the production line to achieve Ontario requirements for HACCAP certification. Ensured all processes within the production plant were accurately captured in the systems, and that all personnel strictly adhere to safety procedures according to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.

•Successfully implemented a real time inventory control system within a four-month period which improved ability to control production in any stage, including raw materials inventory.

NYGÄRD International 2002 - 2006

Assistant Controller

Responsible for preparation of the annual budget for two plants in Winnipeg. Prepared monthly and year-end financial statements for these plants. Advised on system changes and modifications.

•Freight process audit resulted in monthly savings of $15K for the Nygärd Moderate division.

•Achieved savings of $300K+ by evaluating, redesigning and implementing new production line controls.

•Audit of the internal product development systems resulted in recommendation of changes and new procedures affecting the gross margin of between 10% and 30% for the Moderate division.
