I have always loved the idea of teaching or helping those in need. There is not a better way do that than become a teacher, and that is why I chose the teaching route for my life. To love the unlovable, and those that are lost. To be the best mentor/teacher to the next generation.

2020-2022

2-4 TEACHER, KINDER-FIRST TEACHER, LKSD – Kwigillingok School

While working here I have been a 2nd – 4th grade teacher, and I have been a K-1 teacher for the last two years. Living in Bush Alaska is a challenging place to live, but extremely rewarding at the same time.

2022-2023

1st GRADE TEACHER, CHESTER VALLEY ELEMENTARY

While working here I had the honor and privilege to teach 1st grade. During my time at Chester Valley, I was also the family engagement coordinator and had the duties of planning and preparing lessons for families on a few different nights this school year. This helped foster the families trust in us as a school.

2024-2025

COTTAGE PARENT, CROSSNORE COMMUNITIES FOR CHILDREN

While working at Crossnore Communities For Children I had the honor and privilege of working in the foster care system for the first time in my life. I still was in direct contact with schools on a daily basis, but instead in the parent role. I took care of as many as fifteen kids at a time, I lived with them, cooked for them, did homework with them, and acted as legal guardian for these kids.

EDUCATION

2015-2019

ELEMENTARY EDUCATION, Cincinnati Christian

While in the education department I had the opportunity to observe over 300 hours total in the classroom in my four years throughout pre-k-third grade.

What I learned and saw from teachers has helped me become the teacher I am today.

While completing my student teaching I had the opportunity of doing so in a gifted classroom that gave me valuable lessons that I will take with me until I retire, and hopefully beyond.

2024-2026

EDUCATIONAL LEADERSHIP, Western Governers University

While in this program I have had the opportunity to observe Principals in a school setting, and will graduate in January with my degree in Educational Leadership.

I have a passion for teaching, and a passion for shaping and molding the next generation any way I can. I love sports, and have a passion for golf. I played golf all throughout my college career, and hoping to continue this in the future. I recently wrote a children’s book about my adventures in Bush Alaska.
