JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Perform Conventional UT and PAUT in wind blade manufacturing & Preparing reports for UT scanned blades, providing repair guidelines, and monitoring the process of repairs.
• Responsible for reducing defects and improving the quality of the blade by lowering the NC.
• Documented technical skills and expertise to troubleshoot complex problems and implementation solutions.
• Worked effectively in team environments to make the workplace more productive.
• Updated and maintained databases with current information.
• Carrying Ultrasonic Testing Inspection of defects after the repairs.
• Maintaining the Record of the Blades Inspection.
• Maintaining Blade Journals & defect document.
• Review and approval of various length wind turbine blade's NDT UT data result & Report as per the applicable codes and standards as shift Lead.
• While blade closing time we monitoring the glue application thoroughly
• We can be find adhesive thickness in shell in web joint using UT and then find out the Prefab part thickness
• Inspection of Ultrasonic testing of SG114, SG122
,SG145,NR77.5,AW56.7 blades using epoch 600 & 650 machines as per SGRE requirements.
• Preparation of inspection report form with the proper registration of all defects as per SGRE requirements .
8D PROJECT:
Title : Reduction of “Edge bonding defects in SG145
(4.5mw)
Description : Main aim is to
eliminate the bonding defects and to
achieve cost reduction as well as
decreasing the cycle time.
Financial impact : Plexus consumption reduced from 6 cartridge to 0.5 cartridge
(1 Cartridge = 400 ml). The cost consumption
reduced from 13,425 INR to 1,100.5 INR. Net saving per blade is 12324.5 INR.
Defect reduction : Defects reduced from 19 defects to 0.4 defects.
