EXPERIENCE
2022-Current Remote: Order Entry Specialist – Ontellus Inc.
I work with a team of 60 other data entry specialists based in the US. I receive 100+ legal document emails draft requests needing revision. Which I then submit for authorization. I use 6 different company database programs to ensure work flow within all departments. Legal documents include subpoenas, workers comp. documents, medical record requests, police record, phone and text message record requests, etc. Daily and weekly meetings on Teams where deadlines and expectations are presented with open dialogue for knowledge sharing and discussing ideas on how or when to streamline the work or tasks. Ensure KPI’s or metrics are met or exceeded within my role.
2006-2022 Medical Records Clerk, Lead & Supervisor - Houston Eye Associates.
Supervisory & Lead Role: I supervised a team of 7-10 employees at the centralized medical record office. I used Ulti-Pro and Paycom to document and approve employee PTO & Vacation time. Set up meetings with my team. Once a week quality control where I monitored my team and their work. Met or exceeded weekly KPI metrics for my department. Was involved in HEA entertainment which included coordinating company team building exercises and holiday and company events. I was responsible for maintenance and upkeep of company van needed for delivery and drop off of medical records. Packed and loaded medical record charts into banker boxes and delivered to storage or central medical record office for all area HEA offices which at a minimum of 45 locations throughout greater Houston.
Clerk Role: Archive medical records which includes scanning into patient online medical chart and destroying sensitive data per HIPPA guidelines. Release sensitive data per HIPPA protocol to patients, providers, ins.
Companies, Workers Comp and legal offices, via email, parcel delivery services, USPS and personal delivery.
Process health insurance audit requests which would sometimes be in quantities of over 1000 medical records. Obtained Texas Notary license to assist in releasing subpoena requests.
