Resume for Belinda Maxwell
Work experience:
In 1987, my mother hired me to do data entry for the billing program she designed for the Riverside County Water District. My mother created a new billing program when Desktop PCs were invented, and the Water District switched from the mainframe computer to the Desktop computers. I first learned how to use a computer doing this job; entering the names and addresses of the Water District customers. This was my first experience using a computer and entering data.
I worked for a debt collection agency, part time, in 1997, and collected several thousand dollars for companies that sold sports equipment to porting goods stores. I collected past due payments from the sporting goods stores for the manufactures.
I had my own cleaning business for over 20 years. I owned and ran Personal Touch Cleaning Service, with a business partner from 1993 to 2003. We provided cleaning services for residences and businesses. I cleaned bars, beauty parlors, and offices, as well as homes. We also provided move out cleaning services for homes on Camp Pendleton for several years.
In 2005, I took over my late husband's business; Maxwell's Landscape Maintenance, for seven years. I worked in the field, and the office, doing the billing, and PR. I started with 93 accounts, which included residences, and business properties. We provided maintenance, irrigation repair and installation, planting, tree trimming, and weed abatement. I was certified in pest and weed control.
I began working as a caregiver in 2008, working for agencies, until I started my own, non-medical caregiving business, with my business partner, called Fallbrook In-Home Companion Care. We have been providing non-medical care for seniors in our community since 2013.
In December of 2019, I got hired by Qualicare Family Home Care, Inc. I provide non-medical companion care for seniors. I have received two excellent, yearly, reviews from the company, and have gotten two pay raises. I am still running my own business, and have two private clients, one who I have been caring for, going on nine years.
Education:
I graduated from Mira Costa Community College, in 1999 with a Certificate in Computer Applications. I graduated on the Dean's List and was inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. My mother set me up with my first computer in the 1990's, and installed Word Perfect for my word processor. That encouraged me to take a Word Perfect course at Mira Costa Community College. I took every computer course they offered; including typing and a dictation course, Word Perfect, Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint, Adobe Illistrator, Dreamweaver, and Photoshop. I learned how to create websites using web design software, and raw HTML code. In 2016, I developed a womens health website, for affiliate marketing, using Wix.com.
I am a fast learner, and proficient in most computer programs, and a very good typist. I am also proficient in grammer, spelling, and sentence structure.
