Key Responsibilities

• Assist HSE manager in working with the factory teams to identify occupational and environmental hazards and establish controls in the production lines at the Factory.

• Follow up on agreed actions or measures and ensure implementation of safe operations across Factory.

• Carryout inspection and compile reports for site HSE manager on monthly environmental parameters on the following: liquid discharge, gaseous emission and solid waste disposal from the factory to ensure compliance with organisational and external legal standards.

• Ensure hazardous materials are handled and disposed safely across the factory.

• Assist the HSE manager in communicating all relevant Local/organisational HSE standards employees and other interested parties.

• Ensure the co-ordination of hazard spotting, near-misses and report of unsafe act in the work place/site.

• Conduct periodic inspection and ensure servicing of all HSE equipment as required on site.

• Carryout periodic internal audit and inspection as planned, compile report for HSE manager and ensure tracking and timely closure of actions.

• Assist the HSE manager to plan and ensure that audits are carried out to establish that the site meets current legislative requirements, and its own HSE targets.

• Carry out accident / incident investigation and control and develop reports for HSE manager. Ensure implementation of action plans arising from lesson learnt from incidents.
