MANUFACTURING TECHNICIAN/ ABBOTT LABS
I started as an assembly line technician for building catheters. I was eventually promoted to the position of the Technician responsible for building fiber optics which were used in the catheters. As a fiber optic technician, my job responsibilities included inspecting the Boule for impurities as per the guidelines provided as well as constant monitoring of the process while fiber optic was being extruded. I was also responsible for final inspection regarding the dimensions as well as clarity.
MEDICAL DEVICE TECHNICIAN/ MEDTRONIC
1995-1997
My initial responsibility was as a support Technician for the assembly line manufacturing process. As a Technician I was responsible for micro soldering of the electrodes to the catheter as well as experimenting with various bonding’s including adhesives as well as laser bonding. My job responsibilities included troubleshooting manufacturing related instances. I was also responsible for training new hires for the manufacturing floor.
I was eventually promoted to R&D Technician. My job responsibilities in this position included working on next generation products in conjunction with the R&D engineers.
R&D TECHNICIAN/ ARTHROCARE
1997-1998
My job responsibilities included developing the next generation products. This included soldering electrodes to the arthroscopic wand as well as inspecting the final product for imperfections.
R&D TECHNICIAN/ GUIDANT/ABBOTT
1998-2011
I was hired as a R&D Technician. My job responsibilities included developing next generation balloon products for angioplasty which could be used with the next generation of stents. The job responsibilities included extruding balloons which were to be bonded to the stents.
After working for four years as a R&D Technician, I took a new position as a maintenance Technician. This gave me an opportunity to learn, and trouble shoot various equipment involved in the manufacturing process.
R & D Technician Smith & Nephew
2019-2019
My responsibilities at Smith & Nephew comprised of QA analysis of finished products before they get shipped. The job included sampling of finished products as well as labeling.
Independent Contractor
2021- 2023
In 2020 I had to move to New Delhi, India to look after my mother.
Over there I worked as an independent contractor for various small-scale business helping them in equipment maintenance, equipment qualification as well writing SOP’s for the manufacturing process.
I would like to give clarification regarding the gap in my employment history. Back in 2011, I decided that I want to start my own business and decided to quit my job. I started my own Gas Station business. Since then, I have operated my own Gas Station as well as a Car Wash.
Subsequently I have sold my whole portfolio.
Considering all this I have decided to go back into workforce full time and take advantage of my extensive experience.
As a business owner I was hands down involved in the daily operations of my company, including but not limited to inventory management, recruitment, payroll, marketing as well as time management.

I completed my bachelor’s degree in science from University of Jodhpur, India in 1984.
I have also completed my MBA from Faculty of Management Studies, commonly known as FMS, Delhi University, India, in 1988.
Currently I am working towards obtaining a Producer Licence for life and health insurance as well as preparing for a Series 7 exam.
