Praxis Modular 2021 to 2022

Praxis is a modular construction company with offices in NYC and manufacturing plant in Wilkes-Barre, PA. I have started as the CTO/COO implemented new design principles, streamlined the design and engineering departments, created the production lines to modern manufacturing systems and quality management.

Started establishing a new production facility, 400K sqf. Implemented a revolutionary design concept that facilitated robotic manufacturing-automation.

Purchased the production equipment, hired the personnel. Unfortunately, the company ceased operations due to owner's health issues. Deluxe Modular / iBuilt 2020 to 2021

iBuilt is a modular building construction company with many installations across the country and abroad. I started as the Chief Automation Officer to design and build automation systems in the Berwick campus. Later, I have been promoted to Chief Engineering and Automation Officer. Upon departure of the acting COO, I resumed his responsibilities and acted as co-CEO with the owner I have implemented new design principles, streamlined the design and engineering departments, revamped the production lines to modern manufacturing systems and quality management.

Created a revolutionary design concept that facilitated robotic manufacturing-automation. Unfortunately, the company ceased operations due to current supply chain problems. Corvac Composites 2013 to 2019

Corvac is a Tier1 supplier to the automotive industry. Manufactures vacuum thermoformed plastic components to major car manufacturers.

Dual Role:

Vice-President, Advanced Automation and Robotics – As part of the top management team, I help set the strategic direction for the company with specific responsibilities in Advanced Automation and Robotics. I was brought in because the company wanted to move into automation. They had some robots, some made by the local team and some made by professional companies. Neither was the right option for Corvac. My role was to automate, increase efficiency and cycle times and develop proprietary design and technologies.

Designed a new robotic trim system with 4 cutting robots and an automatic load/unload robot to trim molded parts. This system increased efficiencies and cut cycle times drastically, while avoiding over $600k in additional expenditures per machine. We now have 16 machines.

I designed a vertical conveyor system to control cooling, decrease cycle time and take up significantly less floor space. This is not yet in place.

I designed a shredder in front of the grinders which increased capacity of the grinders and eliminated the need for more grinders, as well as people to feed the grinders. Savings of $1,800,000 per year just in labor.

Reduced electrical bill by designing oven monitor systems to measure consumption and use less electricity resulting in a 17% savings.

Built an OPC integrated with vision systems to gather machine information for analysis. This allows the company to catch bugs in the machines and prevent repetition. Improved reliability and overall uptime.

Designed and built a new manifold system to eliminate breakage and downtime of the cooling system.

Designed and built an End-of-Arm tool to move large parts with vacuum cups without human assistance.
