I proudly served 30 years in the Marine Corps - my field was in Aviation Ordnance (munitions) and worked 13 years with DOE-OST (Department of Energy and Office of Secure Transportation). Obviously, my specific field isn’t available in the civilian sector but during my service and with promotions through the ranks the Military teaches managerial skills, supervisory roles, Quality Assurance, human resource skills, logistics, computer skills, etc. In this day and age, as a MGySgt I needed to be able to meet high pressure deadlines while being proficient in managing staff of approximately 1300, be efficient in completing tasks under or around a budget, supervising Marines and civilian contractor work, working logistical nightmares of transporting Marines, Ordnance and supplies to various parts of the world as well as in the States. I have extensive background in Quality Assurance – through inspections and instructing as well as hands-on training of young Marines. Through the years I have become well versed in several computer programs as well as military computer programs. I am in hopes of finding employment with a company with a good cohesive work environment that is challenging in which my previous experience in logistics, hands-on instruction and supervisory skills, and technical experience can be utilized. I am open to traveling to different locales as I did while in the Corps.
