I am a committed, focused, and positive individual with a passion for retail. My seven-years of retail experience has developed my confident approach with customers. I enjoy approaching customers and giving them a personalised and pleasant retail experience by creating friendly conversation. I make sure to understand their needs and tailor this to my extensive product knowledge. I have experience working with high-end luxury products; therefore, I know how to market these products to the needs and desires of a diverse range of customers. My ability to work in fast paced environment enables me to aid multiple customers at one time. I engage well with teams; I can effectively communicate and coordinate to complete tasks to a high standard. This role offered me the exciting challenge to memorise different intricate metal pieces in terms of setting, manufacturing, and composition. I was able to adapt quickly to learn these products and use this newfound knowledge to actively engage with customers. This job allowed me to utilise my social skillset by building a friendly rapport with customers and helping them through some of their most precious moments. I enjoyed being able to manage and exceed targets such as ensuring multi-buys and offering cleaning products to drive sales but also to build long term customers.

This was a drastic change from sales experiences I have acquired before, whereby being in a call centre I relied on my ability to connect with customers and put across a friendly and passionate approach through the phone. I also set in place monthly team meetings to celebrate staff and provide solutions as how to best improve our sales and reach our targets.

By the end of the day, I ensured that I had completed tag checks, cleaned the stock room, tidied the shop floor, and logged returns. Additionally, I handled promotions and sale markdowns, including relabelling prices and fixing up new signage.
