RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervisor of three employees in the Facilities Department. Our staff handled everything from recordkeeping for the branch, custodial services, hospitality needs, painting, and carpentry. Managing this team involved coaching, performance reviews, participating in calibration sessions, and regular monitoring of work orders in Bank online system.
Participated in internal interviews with other business units at the branch, whenever needed.
Oversaw the Housekeeping, Landscaping and Operational functions at the Detroit Branch, from the contract development process to monitoring contract performance as well. These included monitoring of outsourced janitorial crew, groundskeeping vendors, and various building contractors.
Served on National Procurement team for system Janitorial contract and a Safety Data Software contract for all branches.
Sourced, instructed and kept records of weekly safety training for 7th District Facilities and recently for Law Enforcement staff (50+ employees in total).

RESPONSIBILITIES
Managed over 125K square feet of HQ office space in Dearborn, MI
Supervised a staff of eight, including facility maintenance crew, receptionists, and mailroom team.
Collaborated with all levels of associates to make sure we had the most efficient office management system in place. These included furniture/workstation moves, policy rollouts, and corporate event planning/execution.
Wrote a Weekly Update for the office including items like upcoming office events softball team news, results of drives we had, internal training dates, associate reminders, security and safety notes and local associate anniversaries.
Editor of the Corporate quarterly newsletter for several years. It had a small staff of reporters across the plant and distribution locations who assisted with content – called it the ‘Common Thread.’
Facilitated an extensive Carhartt Core Value presentation to new hires monthly by demonstrating all of our values as a company.
Performed office housekeeping and random safety audits to make sure standards were met. Results were published and corrective actions taken when appropriate.
Maintained excellent working relationships with technical service vendors for proactive, as well as reactive tasks and projects, including HVAC repairs and maintenance, electrical repairs, updates and testing, exterior maintenance, etc.
Office Management: September 2001 to October 2012
Organized various furniture reconfigurations, moves, and set ups of workstations between floors and other buildings, while maintaining office standards across the board. Constant company growth dictated department space updates for designers, customer service, accounting, marketing, and sales force.
Supervised the mailroom, keeping in mind cost-savings for carrier services and USPS.
Oversaw services of an outsourced janitorial company and security guard force for two of the company’s buildings in the area.
Managed the office safety/security team (21 members); conducted monthly safety audit of the HQ; seeing that the team members were all trained in CPR/AED usage and first aid.
Coordinated all charity ventures for HQ, including an annual Detroit Red Wing Alumni game for Macomb Oakland Regional Center for the Disabled (for ten years), blood drives, and onsite bone marrow testing, plus clothing drives, toiletry collections for homeless and Opening Day fundraiser for the United Way.
