Wicomico County Recreation, Parks, and Tourism Sept 2011 – Nov 2014 Created and managed large county-wide events that attracted thousands of attendees from the region, facilitating and coordinating multiple vendors by managing cash flow and invoicing, as well as acting as the point of contact on-site during events.
Created work orders and invoices, managed and submitted staff time sheets, and built out programs in the county payment system to register children and adults for activities and events. Maintained professionalism while dealing with parents and the public, using de-escalation techniques to calm down angry participants to work through issues at hand. Recruited, trained, and supervised up to 40 part-time staff on a yearly basis. Designed and directed after-school programs, therapeutic camps, and public events. Managed $450,000+ in budgets with $140,000 net revenue annually. Maintained a positive, productive, and safe work environment for staff and children by following MSDE COMAR regulations and protocols.
