Responsibilities: Operates equipment such as a snow plow, backhoe, tractor mower with an extendable hydraulic mower or ditcher attachment, bulldozer, grader, rubber tire or steel wheel roller weighing 10 or more tons, paver, self-propelled stone or chip spreader, self-propelled road widener, convey or loader, self-propelled sweeper, truck mounted line painting machines, self- propelled pavement breakers, self-propelled post drivers, front loader or hi-lift with a bucket capacity of four and a half cubic yards or more, grader, paver-finisher, truck-mounted asphalt plant, or profile planer used for construction or maintenance work. Valid Class B Pennsylvania Commercial Driver's License with the Air Brake Restriction and Passenger Endorsement Operates a variety of manual and foot controls, utilizes seat belts and installs and removes tire chains on dual wheels.
Performs a variety of manual laboring duties using both motorized and non-motorized hand tools such as shovels, rakes, hammers, lutes, chain saws, compressors, jack hammers, tampers, hand mowers and trimmers, routers, patching machines and heating kettles; selects and uses tools properly for job to minimize wear and breakage; reports missing or broken equipment.
