Mobile diesel tech transportation company based out of Peachtree Corners, GA.

● General Manager 2022-present

A small family owned business that provides mobile diesel mechanic roadside emergency repair and fleet maintenance to the greater metropolitan Atlanta, GA area, with some out of state work. We work on diesel tractors and trailers, box trucks, buses and commercial generators.

● Responsible for a team of 16 mobile diesel mechanics and 12 office staff.

● Manager Unit Train Operations 2017-2021

Was promoted to this position at the request of the AVP Customer Service. I was the senior member of the group leading the team in running our bulk commodity unit train network.. Achievements:

● Participated as a key member of a three-person task force to develop transportation opportunities in the

European marketplace.

● Conceptualized the redesign of the company's key database/system, and planned and Introduced its

Implementation.

● Manager of EOTS 2009-2017

Reported to the Senior Direct Mechanical with responsibility for fleet operations, customer service, materials

management, purchase of EOTs, and FRA compliance. Managed a fleet of 3,000 EOTs with one direct report.

Achievements:

● Assessed organizational needs and restructured job responsibilities to improve the department's

effectiveness.

● Reduced expenses by increasing the number of EOTs that were gps equipped by 50% during my tenure.

● Manager Unit Train Services 2003-2009

Became the first manager of the new Unit Train Services group in Customer Service. Achievements:

● Working with senior management, helped to establish the company's 85 car dedicated unit grain train

system. Reduced cycle times, increased revenue, and improved asset utilization.

● Established a grain report with system wide distribution listing priorities for grain trains and shutdown

dates.

● Won an NS Quality award for my involvement in redesigning the Unit Grain Network which resulted in

the turning in of 250 leased cars at an annual savings of over $1 million. The potential savings were

projected to be in the $10 million range with continued improvements and efficiencies.

● Assistant General Superintendent Transportation Locomotives 2001-2003 Reported to the General Superintendent, managed a staff of 6 concerned with allocating locomotives system wide to protect on time performance of our TOP Train Network and the related management of locomotives in repair facilities. Achievements:

● Played a key role in the development of the TOP Train Network of scheduled trains on the locomotive

side.

● Improved liaison with sales and operations to better respond to customers' needs and to become more

customer-focused.

● Established dedicated shuttle units at Roanoke, VA for unit grain trains that greatly improved the fluidity

through Roanoke.

● Superintendent Transportation Locomotives 1999-2001 Reported to the General Superintendent of Transportation Locomotives, with the responsibility for the managing of the locomotive fleet, analysis of data, and the development of recommendations to enhance operating

efficiencies and capabilities.

Achievements:

● Involved in the design and installed a comprehensive operating plan.

● Helped to develop and implement a computerized system (TLMS) to better control asset utilization and visibility.

● Conducted analysis and made recommendations that resulted in the reduction of horsepower hours

paid to other railroads.

● Road Trainmaster 1997-1999

Reported to the Division Superintendent of Transportation. Managed a territory that ran from Knoxville, TN to

Bristol, VA and also had the line that ran from Bulls Gap, TN to Asheville, NC. Ensured the safe and efficient

movement of traffic on those lines.

● Performed rules and safety checks on train and engine employees. .

● Lead my team to an injury free year in 1998.

● Reduced the number of local jobs I had from 6 to 4 by improving communications with the dispatch center and increase crew productivity.

● Terminal Trainmaster 1993-1997

Reported to the Terminal Superintendent in Chicago, IL. Directed operations at Calumet and Landers

terminals in Chicago, IL. Was responsible for safety, efficiency of operations and on time performance.

Achievements:

● Helped guide Chicago Terminal to an injury free year in 1995.

● Improved efficiencies in switching operations at Calumet yard through changing of outbound train

scheduling. .

● Train Dispatcher 1992-1993

Union Train Dispatcher on the Lake Division based in Ft. Wayne, IN. Was responsible for the safe and efficient

movement on freight and local trains on my territory. Achievements:

● Was qualified on all 6 desks on the division at 22 years old.

● Clerk/Crewcaller. 1991-1992

Union Clerk/Crewcaller that performed clerical and misc offices duties.

● Made the first crewcall with NS’s new computerized crewcall system.
