I am a well experienced piano and ESL instructor with my own business, looking forward to adding students and/or more work to my schedule. I would love to work for your organization part-time, bringing many years of experience teaching piano and ESL . I have enjoyed playing the piano all my life, achieving proficiency in piano theory as well as an understanding of the eras of music composition. Having taught in the District of Columbia Public Schools (DCPS) for a decade, I embarked on creating my own ESL and private piano lesson business, from 2012 thru the present. WORK EXPERIENCE

Sept. 2012 Current: Piano Instructor, Self Employed, Glen Echo, Maryland. Prepared and taught piano lessons for beginners up to advanced levels, teaching both children and adults. This included organizing and leading my students to perform piano recitals, playing selected, as well as their favorite pieces, at my home, Hearst Elementary School, Rock Creek Elementary School, and Bannockburn Elementary School.

Sept. 2012 - Current: ESL Tutor, Glen Echo, Maryland. Taught English as a Second Language for all different ages and levels of learning. I taught lessons using idioms and proverbs, different geography and U.S. history, including Seterra for advanced students. For young learners, I taught basic reading to children in early grades, along with vocabulary review and basic English grammar.

Sept. 2016 - June 2017: French Speaking Tutor, Bethesda, Maryland. Tutored native English speaking student French homework review, including reading, writing, and oral conversation.

Sep 2003 Jun 2012: ESL Instructor, District Of Columbia Public Schools, Washington, D.C. I worked at the following schools having ESL programs: Deal Middle School, MacFarland Middle School, Shaed Elementary School, and Shepherd Elementary School in Washington, D.C. Experience: Taught English to students whose first language was not English both in the classroom as well as pull-out lessons. Administered standardized assessments (using ACCESS for ELL’s Exams), and used resulting data to tailor their instruction and improve students' progress. Organized exhibits of countries for the schools’ World Geography Fairs, which included Canada, Switzerland, Spain, Peru, El Salvador, Vietnam, and more.

Contributed to extracurricular activities beyond my ESL duties, such as school Spelling Bees, field trips in the D.C. area (museums, famous landmarks, parks, etc.), music festivals, cafeteria duty, recess duty, and substitute teacher. EDUCATION
