Home Lending Product Strategy & Delivery Team, Customer Contact and Default Decisioning, Home Preservation Application (HPA) is a loan and investor centric application that attempts to modify mortgage loans to assist borrowers who are in danger of losing their homes. HPA offers a variety of loan modification programs like HAMP, B&P Non-HAMP and VA etc. It is a web-based application that determines if a customer qualifies for a mortgage modification based on respective program criteria. HPA retrieves information from Mortgage Servicing Platform (MSP), and then evaluates the loan for eligibility for the modification programs that are selected. If a loan is eligible for a modification program, the tool decisions the loan through different waterfall steps and calculates new terms for the loan.

Accomplishments:

•Translated the business requirements (SURF), and functional specs into effective test cases in ALM for UAT testing.

•Conditioned loans in mainframe for creating MSP test data for regression testing.

•Performed end to end UAT testing for different loan types for each release.

•Executing UAT test cases and supporting production install validation for each release.

I am involved in functional and acceptance testing of this application which is getting enhanced incrementally using scrum, an agile software development method. This application is used by the data entry operators at Equifax for third party verification on the most critical underwriting data for mortgage. This client server application is helping Equifax reduce the turnaround time and cost of processing mortgage underwriting for the lending intuitions.

Accomplishments:

•Translated requirements, designs and functional specs into effective test cases.

•Verified the correctness of the software calculations and creating test data files (valid and invalid) to thoroughly test program logic and system flow.

•Performed functional and UAT on the application to decide go/no go for prod release.
