This is an auto car service business. I handled all the paperwork daily for each
shop. This included, but not limited to, posting daily information in QuickBooks.
I balanced deposits daily to End of Day reports from each location. Balanced the
Accounts Receivable and made daily calls to late payers. Did weekly reports that
was requested. Also paid vendors when requested to.
Processed payroll which consisted, of but not limited to, calculating timecards,
logging any mileage reported, expenses, and whatever else needed to be done and
submitted to our payroll company. Handled all the paperwork for new employees. Kept records when each employee received raises, vacation time, sick time, early or tardiness.
I also applied for licenses for any business purchased and got the utilities set up
or transferred over for each location.
Reason for leaving:
All the shops were sold. I was no longer needed.
August 1985 – July 2018: Southern Glazers Wholesale Liquor Company ($32.60 hrly)
Asst. Office Mgr., Payroll Mgr., Receptionist, Sales Analyst, Receptionist, Cashier. I first started working on the night shift filling orders. I then was asked to work in the office doing payroll. Then I moved into the cashier office handling thousands of dollars. Balancing to the drivers, getting credits issued for customers and making daily deposit picked up an armor car. Balanced the Account Receivable. I was a backup or the Data processing department, billing invoices, issuing credit memos,
running reports requested by managers. Enrolled new employees, kept up with
vacation, tardiness, early departures, Leave of absence. Explained the benefits
the company provided. At this company we had over 100 employees. I enjoyed my job and loved working with people. I also went out into the market to take orders from customers face to face. This was a great company to work for. I thought I would be there until I retired.

Reason for leaving:
I didn’t have any choice. I was forced to take an early retirement. They were
doing this to a lot of the older employees that have been with the company a long
time. Was I happy about it? Not at all. Could I do anything about it? Not at all.
August 1984 - July 1985; Little Rock Ear, Nose and Throat Clinic
My job was to greet patients, fill out their charts to get ready for the doctor,
answer the phone and make appointments. Instead, he wanted me to be a
transcriptionist.
Reason for leaving:
I did not have any training in how to be a transcriptionist. This was not what
I was told that I was being hired for.
May 1974 – August 1984: TimeX
Starting off, I worked on the assembly line for 6 years. I then moved in the office
My duties were checking timecards each day. Documenting any
tardiness, early departures and vacations taken. In June 1984, I moved into
Customer Service. I handled complaints, opened mail that was sent to the
complaint department and answered the letters and answered phone calls.
Reason for Leaving:
My location was moved to another state.
PART-TIME EMPLOYMENT:
Dollar General as a cashier, received merchandise from Vendors and stocked shelves, rotating as we stocked. I also assisted with some office duties. I really loved visiting with the customers. (April 22, 2024 – December 22, 2024)
Walmart: Cashier/Salesperson. I worked in the jewelry department, responsible for all the jewelry in the showcase. I did a count before and after shift. Also pierced ears. (November 1993 – June 1995)
Teletype: Worked on the assembly line. They only needed 200 people for this time frame. (May 1993 – December 1983)

Sunglass Hut: Salesperson selling expensive sunglasses. (March 1988- March 1989)
Dodge Store: Cashier. Also had 8 gas pumps that I was responsible for collecting. I was also in charge of opening and closed the store making sure everything was ready for next shift. Trained new employees. (July 1985 – March 1988)
PERSONAL INTERESTS:
First and most important, playing with my grandson. I love bowling, fishing, crafts projects, and doing ceramics are a few things I love doing.
