WORK EXPERIENCE
Vice President of Construction, Urban-gro 2022 - 2024
• Urban-gro acquired Emerald Construction in 2022, and became a multi-disciplined sales, A/E design-build construction management firm.
• I managed a team of 30 construction professionals of estimators, project managers, project coordinators and superintendents across the country. We grew construction revenue from $25M in 2022 to over $50M when I left for personal reasons in 2024.
• I helped facilitate acquisition transition of team and systems. HR, IT and accounting systems all had to change to conform to parent company systems. Vice President of Construction, Emerald Construction Management 2018-2022, 2001- 2006, 1986-1989
• Over the years, I have worked three different tours of duty at Emerald. I started as a laborer while in high school and worked through numerous different positions within the organization. After college, I came back and helped implement a marketing plan, developed the first web site, created the first Statement of Qualifications, estimated, bid, sold and managed small tenant finish projects. During my final tour of duty, I implemented a standard program for project management that brought consistency to our corporate service proposition. I helped define roles and responsibilities for our management team, and developed Standard Operating Procedures within those roles.

Engineered Lumber Product Manager, Bluelinx Corporation. 2009 – 2011
• Executed company vision, mission, and strategy for Engineered Lumber in the Western US.
• Responsible for profitability, product penetration, product mix, market analysis, sales forecasting and inventory turns for over 10 distribution centers.
• Assist outside and inside sales representatives with all aspects of the sales cycle to support their customer base. Responsible for market pricing and developing new programs designed to sell large volumes to targeted accounts.
• Monitor daily billing results and identify market trends impacting key performance areas.
• Consistently develop and maintain customer relationships, assist all customers with sales and technical support as well as resolving all customer service issues related to Engineered Lumber.
Inside Account Manager, Bluelinx Corporation. 2006 – 2009
• Account manager for assigned Northern Colorado, Nebraska & Wyoming territory.
• Business development and lead cultivation for account territory and assigned product line. Responsible for filling daily route trucks and coordination with warehouse and logistics team to ensure proper delivery of goods and service.
• Handled in-bound calls and proactively made out-bound calls centered on account plan and team strategy. Consistently met 80 call per day quota, to include 40 proactive outbound calls.
• Vast product knowledge and ability to sell from ten thousand different construction and building products within company portfolio.
• Coordinated numerous sales promotions, promoted corporate image and presence with-in marketplace.
