Patience is one of my skills that has been very important in being an effective teacher.
I have always been determined to do my best to reach my students in whatever way is necessary to help them reach their goals.
I am a hard worker and I do my best to inspire this quality in my students.
I have a genuine passion for teaching and desire to effect young lives.
I endeavor creatively to keep students interested and engaged.
I have always been cognizant that a student must be self-motivated to succeed.
Encouraging teamwork is also important to help the betterment of students.
The skills that we learn as children, can help us as adults and in turn to help teach both are students and are own children.
Teamwork is something that is quite necessary throughout our life. I have always encouraged this in my classes.
Writing skills are also something that I make a point to focus throughout each day. Encouraging the student to discover and utilize their innate talents and abilities is important for any educator.
The above-mentioned skills are important for us all to learn and master. I believe it is necessary not only for teachers, but as parents to set the example for all the skills seen as necessary as we become adults.
Through the last several years I have been a substitute working frequently most of the time.
I still work as a substitute on occasion at Grimmer. Covering most every class at sometime.
The rest of the time I am a substitute in Highland covering all grade levels and subject matter.
After all my years as a teacher it never ceases to amaze me how much I continue to learn from the growing minds of our students.
I do enjoy being a substitute teacher, but I still continue to have the drive in my heart to be a full time teacher.
It is my dream, to finally have the opportunity to teach full time at the Elementary Level.
