Reynolds Consumer Products Lake Forest, IL 07/2005- 02/2025 A publicly held $3.8-billion-dollar consumer packaging company with 6000 employees and 17 operating facilities throughout North America under the brand names Reynolds, Hefty and Alcan. Vice President-Human Resources- Labor Relations and Compliance 1/2021-2/2025 Labor Relations: Chief Spokesperson and strategist responsible for thirteen (13) labor agreements with multiple industrial and craft unions in both US and Canada. Administration and oversight for the grievance instrument as Advocate in six (6) union manufacturing facilities. Administer Labor and Employee Relations in compliance with the National Labor Relations Act and other legislation. Effectively interface with internal and external stakeholders, building and maintaining professional relationships for optimal labor-management relations. Prepare for bargaining by researching issues, collaborating with site managers on key issues and initiatives, and developing and creating language for contracts. Counsel and interpret contract language for effective problem resolution.
Employee Relations: Union-free leadership at eight (8) manufacturing facilities through continuous vulnerability assessment, management training, policy development, and adherence. Counsel and support leaders of non-union employees for positive employee relations. Oversee Ethics and Compliance Program, conducting complex employee investigations; Assist legal department with EEO complaints and other employment-related litigation. Consult with managers and leaders on corrective action and disciplinary action, including termination. Partner with others in HR functional areas to provide an outstanding employee experience.
Legal Compliance: Regulatory review, policy development and implementation, training, ethics, and compliance reporting. Maintain in-depth knowledge of federal and state employment laws, regulations, and HR trends for risk reduction and compliance. Participate and complete vendor/supplier audits, internal audits, and sustainability audits. Complex employee investigations, managing outcomes to reduce risk, exposure, and brand protection. HR Business Partner/Collaboration/Managing Key Relationships: Planning, developing, and collaborating with key business leaders, including the CEO, BU Presidents, and key operations, finance, legal, and safety staff to assure continuous assessment of total labor/employee relations programs. Maintain important relationships with union leaders. Provide advice, counsel, and coaching on relevant business and human capital issues around strategy, structure, people, process, and reward.
