I have worked with the elderly people and also people with Mental Health problems such as schizophrenia and dementia as a live in carer. I am capable of setting goals and enjoy the satisfaction of achieving those goals within the required time frame. I am a polite, responsible person who is willing to take on new challenges. I enjoy learning new things, I am capable of generating impressive results and enjoy working with others. I have worked in the community as well as a volunteer doing door to door supporting old people in the comfort of their own homes in the community I grew up. I have been doing this since the age of 18 whenever I am free. I am someone who can work well independently under pressure but also a good team player. I committee myself to anti-discriminatory practice which involve empowerment strategies of supporting service users to fully participate in the decision making process of their rehabilitation and empower them to attain the highest quality of life.
