Some clients from my media jobs gained enough financial success in some areas to dictate splitting jobs, because of this, they facilitated me to handle finances and taxes due to my familiarity with 1099s and 1040s. To mediate the lack of media fields in the area, i became a sole proprietor. I worked in any job I could personally fill, including making websites, helping university students with their projects, and graphic design. It slowly evolved with the rise of online work in media with me even traveling to Palm Springs, CA for a handful of jobs like post-video production, music, and modeling. As time went on other people in the area gained interest in working and also offered to pay to help start things like YouTube channels and talk shows, so I became in charge of finding jobs for local contractors who wanted to work with me while also managing people who wanted to use my home studio and working for them. A lot of time ended up becoming coordinating time slots for the studio, then getting the footage and audio processing to our post-production contractors before the next client came in, and before the deadline for the client before them while also doing finances such as contractor pay, and pay split/financing for clients who made money in the studio.
