Responsibilities included securing property once it became REO; hiring of third party property managers for income producing properties; insuring properties were maintained to promote sales; hiring of brokers to market the properties; supervision of outside counsel when litigation was required. Negotiated sales within parameters of the loss share agreement with the FDIC as Florida Community Bank had purchased 8 failed banks which led to a REO portfolio of over 300 properties ranging from strip malls, bowling alleys, convenience stores, hotels, cemeteries, mobile home parks, single family residences, commercial condos and warehouses and vacant land.
