Worked as a special needs youth counselor with children and adolescents ranging from ages 0-17 with various physical, emotional, or developmental challenges. We all individually had about 2-3 kids or even more assigned to us while the parents of these kids attended a conference for the 2- day event. We as staff members watched the children in several separated conference rooms. We had all sorts of entertainment, games, toys, arts and craft supplies to stay engaged with the children.

We watched the children during an 8 hour period during the 2-day event. During lunch time majority of the parents came to take their children for lunch as it was the parents lunch break during the conference. After lunch the children returned back into our care until they were released in the afternoon. Undergarment changes with assistance was part of our responsibilities and feeding before lunch as well.
