Director of Teaching and Learning June 2022 - current
Built relationships with all building and teacher leaders to assess building level systems and create teams in each building for communication and adult learning structures.
Lead District Instructional Leadership team (K-12) to create a Guaranteed and Viable Curriculum in all content areas.
Created a Comprehensive Improvement Plan for the school district based upon current data and alignment to the High Reliability Schools framework.
Lead District Level behavior team to create aligned structures in each building to create interventions and common expectations district wide.
Used district level teams to create common language across district. This allowed leadership teams to look and respond to data systematically and function as a professional learning community.
Created a data schedule for Cabinet (principals, superintendent, Director of Special Education, Human Resources) for leaders to look and respond to data to functional as a professional learning community.
Participated in walk throughs in all buildings using iObservation and coaching principals on instructional practices specially in the areas of reading, writing and math, but included all content areas.
Created curriculum review cycle for the entire district and facilitated curriculum reviews with teams to determine what high-quality materials would be adopted for all content areas.
Attended High Reliability Schools and PLC conference with team leaders to create action steps for each building based upon their current reality.
Lead K-12 Guaranteed and Viable Curriculum process in all content areas including unpacking of standards, assessment design, the creation of intervention and extension programming, and cultural work regarding ALL students can learn at high levels.
