Dear Hiring Team,
I walk six to seven miles a day. Not just for exercise, but because it’s how I think, reset, and reconnect. Good shoes make that possible. They support movement, momentum, and purpose. That’s exactly what I’ve tried to do throughout my career in learning and development: build programs that help people move forward with confidence, clarity, and direction.
When I saw the posting for the Senior Learning & Development Manager role, I felt an immediate connection. You’re looking for someone who can design global learning experiences, consult with senior leaders, and embed growth into the fabric of the organization. That’s been my rhythm for years. At Oracle, I led global enablement for cloud applications, creating blended learning programs that accelerated ramp time and improved performance across sales, partner, and customer success teams. I’ve built simulations, certification tracks, and virtual workshops that helped people not just learn, but lead.
But what excites me most is the chance to do this work in an industry that’s literally built around movement. Footwear is personal. It’s expressive. It’s foundational. I want to help build a learning culture that reflects those same qualities—where leadership development feels authentic, manager enablement is practical and inclusive, and every learning experience is designed to support real-world momentum.
I bring a strategic mindset, a collaborative spirit, and a deep respect for the learner’s journey. I also bring a daily reminder, six or seven miles at a time, of what it means to move with purpose. I’d love the opportunity to bring that energy to your team.
Thank you for considering my application. I look forward to the possibility of connecting.
Warm regards,
Steven ‘Mac’ McKay
