Consent to Receive Electronic Disclosures and Use Electronic Signatures
THIS DISCLOSURE INCLUDES IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT RECEIVING ELECTRONIC DOCUMENTS AND USING ELECTRONIC SIGNATURES WHEN SUBMITTING AN ONLINE LOAN APPLICATION. Please read this document carefully and retain for your records.
AGREEMENT
To proceed with the online loan application, your consent to this agreement is required. By accepting the terms of this agreement, you agree to receive electronic documents and use electronic signatures. By providing your consent, you are confirming that you have the hardware and software necessary to access, receive, and retain electronic records, and that you have a valid, active email address. You also agree that we will not provide paper disclosures. SCOPE OF YOUR CONSENT
Your consent to this agreement applies to all legal and regulatory disclosures, and any other documentation provided during the online loan application process. You agree that delivery of electronic documents or communications by any method will be considered "in writing" and will have the same legal effect as written and signed paper documents. YOUR RIGHT TO RECEIVE PAPER COPIES
You may request paper copies of any documents provided during the online loan application process by contacting us at 1-800- 772-4328 or 915-***-****. A fee may be charged, as outlined in the Fee Schedule of the Terms and Conditions. HOW TO WITHDRAW YOUR CONSENT
You have the right to withdraw your consent to receive electronic documents and sign documents electronically at any time. If you wish to do so, contact us at 1-800-***-**** or 915-***-****. If you withdraw your consent, you understand that you may not be eligible to apply for a loan online.
HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS
In order to use electronic signatures and to receive and save any document or communication electronically, you must have:
• An active and valid email address;
• A web browser;
• Connection to the internet;
• A program that reads and displays PDF documents, such as Adobe Acrobat Reader®, for viewing and retaining certain disclosures;
• A printer to print your disclosures and retain your records on paper, if desired;
• The capacity to store information;
• A device with access to the internet, such as a desktop computer, laptop computer, smartphone, or tablet, with an operating system ((Windows®, MacOS®, iOS, or Android™) capable of supporting the above). CHANGES TO HARDWARE AND/OR SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS
You will be notified of any changes to the hardware and/or software requirements that may create a material risk that you will not be able to access or retain subsequent electronic records. You will also have the right to withdraw your consent for delivery of electronic records without consequence. Continuing to access electronic records after receiving notice of the change is reaffirmation of your consent.
KEEPING YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS CURRENT
You are responsible for informing GECU Federal Credit Union (GECU) of any change in your email address. You can update your contact information by visiting any local GECU location or by contacting our Member Contact Center at 1-800-***-**** or 915-***-****.
CHANGE IN TERMS
It may be necessary from time to time, to change this disclosure. In the event such a change is necessary, we will provide you with notice as required by law.
