Accountable for all production-related functions in two separate facilities totaling 7 extrusion lines.

Coaches, counsels, manages, leads, and directs personnel in appropriate business assignments relative to changing priorities, sense of urgency and utilization of multiple skill sets.

Maintains Quality Assurance on product before shipping to customers.

Continually works for positive employee relations while acting as a liaison for the shift with other portions of the business.

Make detailed investigations of existing and potential safety and health hazards and make recommendations for preventive or corrective action.

Work in coordination with Human Resources to ensure successful on boarding of new hires, completion of safety orientation and enrollment into safety training programs to meet all regulatory requirements.

Monitor and maintain compliance with all health and safety issues; may involve working with off-site agencies and services such as Industrial Hygienist and Insurance Contacts.

Schedule and organize safety committee meetings; assign action items and track completion.

Gather, Interpret, and prepare injury and statistical data, accident reports, required government reports, and reports of cost and occurrences to identify possible problem areas for corrective actions.

Develop strong supporting relationships with production staff and supervisors to support as a resource for safety policies, action plans, regulatory interpretations, and risk prevention programs and practices.

Conduct monthly audits, weekly safety observations and record all data; create and assign action items and track to completion.

Report injury claims for worker’s compensation administration. Work in coordination with HR to serve as a liaison between injured employee and WC TPA to manage the claim and expedite timely return to work.

Manage protective equipment through vending services and keep inventory up to date.

Obtain and keep current all professional certifications to meet regulatory requirements, as needed.

Vast knowledge of pulping, refining and paper making process.

Extensive experience with winders and finishing process, able to understand and teach safety risks of equipment.

As a shift supervisor responsible for Health, Safety, Environment & Quality for 25 % of the company with a shift of 20 employees.

Participated on safety teams such as BBS and Safety Design Review throughout my entire career.

As a QC 1 inspector ensured product met all customer specifications.

Monitored quality of raw materials and test properties in conjunction with the C.O.A.

Worked with customers to identify quality concerns.

Served as an internal ISO Auditor for the company.
