Duties: I work under Laura’s study, the Shyness and Shame study, looking at children from ages 6-8 years old. There, I managed and created Excel and Google sheets for optimization and organization. In these sheets I logged data collected from the study itself. I have been trained, by Laura, for in-person sessions with the children for the study. I’ve read many research articles on the topics of ADHD and Shyness and have written annotated bibliographies on them. I’ve learned JavaScript for Laura’s online-study as well.
For some time I worked under Cassandra Bell’s study on the influence and exposure of gun violence on adolescents. I helped build the experiment by making an excel sheet that will tell Psychopy what stimuli
(images) to pull and in what order. The order was decided through randomization coded into RStudio, a subcategory of R. I took the lead in building the surveys we will be using for participants to complete. These surveys include demographics, anxiety, depression, and gun exposure surveys, to name a few. Duties: For the LOWKAT, Level of Word Knowledge Assessment Task, portion of my duties, I have access to our Qualtrics survey for participants to differentiate and define pseudowords and real words. I log the results in our Excel sheets in binary coding for easier reference. With the recruiting portion of my duties I have access to our Qualtrics survey for study eligibility as we work with fMRI Imaging. I Dominguez 2
