CAREER ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Provincetown Boston Airlines Inc.: Successfully oversaw company IPO. We worked with E.F. Hutton and closed our IPO in nine months. Subsequently, raised an additional $15M through a convertible debenture and restructured the Company’s banking relationships. Also led two full-scope acquisitions, leading all phases from inception (initial negotiations) through due diligence to completion (closing & post-acquisition integration).

Caribe Electronics LTD, Inc.: Created new internal reporting system to deliver real-time data to senior management team and updated sales and purchasing procedures to deliver efficient/actionable metrics, effectively minimizing costs, maximizing overall profits, accelerating sales by 300%, and significantly driving EBITDA growth (230%) over a two-year timeframe.

Decolav Inc.: Decolav was a designer and manufacturer of “high end” hospitality furniture and fixtures. Restructured this company to survive the pandemic, raised new financing and reduced overhead costs by over 50%. Also changed company’s inventory/logistics from in-house to use of a significantly more efficient and cost effective 3PL. These initiatives resulted in a breakeven 2020 and a revitalized and profitable company in 2021 poised for growth in 2022. In addition, “rescued” the implementation of Company’s new ERP (Netsuite). Together with my team, rebuilt the system, reduced modules required and reduced cost by 75%.

Skip Barber Racing School LLC: Conceptualized, developed, and implemented scorecard/KPIs; effectively slashing company overhead by 40%, optimizing operational efficiency, and fostering company-wide turn-around initiatives. Worked with private equity /mezzanine firm on compliance and planning.

INTERIM EXECUTIVE SERVICES LLC, St. Augustine, FL 03/2013 – Present

Managing Member

Provide operational/financial consultation services (project/interim basis) to small/medium-sized businesses in the Southeast.

For the past year (2024) I have served as contract CFO for Censys Technologies Corporation, a Floridia based developer and manufacturer of innovative VTOL unmanned aircraft. Restructured Censys’ chart of accounts and revamped the existing financial reporting system, led the company in a balance sheet cleanup that brought their books into GAAP compliance. Worked extensively with the executive team and the BOD to help the company reach its full potential.

Contracted as CFO to revitalize Skip Barber Racing School LLC. Facilitated restructuring initiative to revitalize operations and strengthen company balance sheet. Reduced G&A costs by 40%, while increasing gross margins by 15%, and established scorecards and metrics designed to drive overall revenues and profits. Working directly with PE sponsor/partner, provided compliance reports and periodic operational and financial reporting.

Restructured a Salesforce Platinum Consulting Partner’s (Coastal Cloud) internal financial reporting, developed an ASC 606 compliant revenue recognition system, and assisted in the development of new accounting & finance focused revenue streams.

DECOLAV INC., Boca Raton, FL 10/2019 – 12/2022

In the face of the pandemic, I was charged with leading the effort to restructure the Company. We reduced

Aviation Consultant Ft Lauderdale, FL. 1991 – 1996

Principal

(Provide operational and financial consulting to aviation related entities with special emphasis on efficiency enhancements and financial reporting) Worked with almost a dozen airlines and MRO’s with annual revenues ranging from $4M to over $100M. Projects included:

Developed and implemented a transition plan that refocused the company on providing maintenance and repair services for niche cargo aircraft servicing the Caribbean.

Assumed control of operations and finance, established a daily reporting system that monitored key operating metrics resulting in dramatically improved dispatch reliability (from 77% to 98% on-time departure) within three months. At the same time, implemented new control procedures which reduced operating costs almost 19%.

Appointed by the US Bankruptcy Trustee to lead this Company into profitability. Realigned the Company’s fleet to take advantage of lower cost aircraft and restructured the sales department to focus on higher margin long distance flights which reduced costs and drove profitability.

Revamped this Company’s financial and operating policies and procedures to improve efficiency and reliability which resulted in reduced costs per mile by over 20%.

Orion Air, Dayton, OH 1985 - 1990

Executive Vice President & COO

A mid-sized contract cargo carrier operating in the overnight delivery market.

I led the effort to renegotiate the Company’s contract with its largest customer (UPS) which led to profit increases of up to 20%.

My team created and implemented the Company’s new operations control system which resulted in improved aircraft/crew matching allowing the Company to reduce manning levels, increase crew utilization and increase profits.

As COO, I initiated the Company’s entry into passenger operations. Setup the team that certificated us in both B727 and B747 passenger operations. Negotiated a passenger operating agreement with one of the major US carriers that produced $20M in revenues and an EBITDA of $8M in less than six months.
