I organized and lead a team of HAM Radio operators covering the parking and public safety operations at the annual Fountain Valley Summerfest and Car Shows for over 10 years.

I have been a volunteer for Emergency Communication with the Fountain Valley R.A.C.E.S. I was honored by the Fountain Valley Police Department for nearly 35 years of service in our HAM Radio service organization. I also used my radio skills to help with Health and Safety at the annual Huntington Beach Marathons and 5K races in Fountain Valley.

I used my Radio communication skills at the Mojave 250Mi Death Race in Death Valley and Baker to Vegas races for several years.

I organized, trained and executed an Oral Hygiene Program resulting in a 10 fold increase in patient compliance in the dental offices I worked in.

I saved the organizations hundreds of chair time hours by reorganizing their appointment scheduling practices to streamline the operation for better patient flow once they moved to a larger facility.

I served as the main Dentist for the preliminary surgery prep for implant placement by the implant surgeon and followed up with closure of most cases. I cut suturing time in half.

I innovated new impression techniques for the “All on 4” implant retained denture cutting impression time by 1/3. I improved the final “All on 4” metal base casting, eliminating the repair cost of the previous design, saving chair time and lab remake cost.

I was instrumental in converting a Mobil Dental operation from their awkward portable X-ray equipment to a digital format using Nomad X-ray technology for “Dentistry To You” in a Murietta-Hemit mobil Dentistry operation.

I created an appropriate sterilization system for portable operations to streamline the operations.

I partook in a National Guard Dental Screening and treatment program on bases and in remote settings throughout the USA for several service companies. I did Locum Tenen work in several states National Guard bases.

I established a Networking Breakfast for the Garden Grove Chamber of Commerce and served as the MC with a Co-Host. I also helped organize and participated the Kiwanis Corn Booth at the Garden Grove Strawberry Festival each year while I had an office there.

I was on the Californie State Board of dental Examiners for sseveral years in the 1990's, giving the exam to new graduates. I also taught in the Anatomy Lab at USC in the late 19'70's.I was also on the staff of Fountain Valley Regional Hospital (now UCI Hospital) when I had an offce in Huntington Beach from 1974-1981.

Personal

In the 70's my wife and I volunteered for the MDA Telethon in LA and Orange County and appeared on TV briefly, promoting the MDA cause. As you know, it always raised more money each year for Jerry's Kids. Currently we support Families of SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy) which my daughter contends with daily. (My Daughter was poster child for MDA for many years) She now has a AA, Bachelors Degree, and a MFA in English from Chapman U.

I completely rebuilt, from delapadated wood and rust, a 1926 Chevrolet, 1 Ton, Stake Bed,“C” Cab, pickup truck and won best of show in my category one year. It took wood working skills, mechanical and electrical know how to make it run like new again.

After learning aggressive sailing at the Orange Coast Sailing Academy, I participated in several off shore adventures on their many ocean rated racing sailboats large and small.

My Moto is If it's broke, I can Fix it

I pride myself in being able to “Fix Things”. That includes proceduals things that have obvious improvementd. I am ever curious about how things work and when I'm faced with a non functional contraption, I get to work tearing it appart to discover how and what genious made it and what is wrong with it. Usually I recover its use and have a bonus of a free gadget to put in my inventory. My latest adventrue was a discarded 2600 PSI Honda Pressure washer that backfired through the carburator. I found a stuck intake valve and freed it with a screwdriver. Power restored and a $500 machine for FREE. I do it all the time. I am skilled in Auto Mechanics, having rebuile a 1926 Chevy truck and its engine, 1972 350 ci V8 engine and I keep a 1986 El Camino on the road. I refitted a large motorhome to accommodate my daughters wheelchair needs and while she was in her school and College years. I solder circuit boards when needed and have a HAM Shack sporting several HAM Radios on HF, 2M, 440M, 220M friequiencies that I repair and man for the Fountain Valley RACES group. There are numerous antennas in my back yard. I am “The Engineer” that maintains my disabled daughter's wheel chair, respirator and other equipment (and anything else that might hamper her survival). I also field needed information on her medical needs. After 50 years “Down in the Mouth” I retired from Dentistry in March of 2020 due to the covid epidemic when the office I worked in closed.

I'm still looking for something usefull to do. I feel with my vast lifetime experience I can do any task needed of me, from Fork Lift Driver to order picker, or receiving clerk to stocker. I'm a great organizer. Consier me as your next dedicated worker. There is much more I have accomplished, but brevity is important.

PS. I live in Fountain Valley California and shop Hardware and Electronic Stores all the time to find solutions to any thing that needs fixing.
