Elliot Jennings
Mr. Jennings has a decades-long career spanning several disciplines: construction, media, hospitality and management.
After twenty years in construction, he was elected to take over the helm of a six-thousand-member construction organization as its Chief Financial Officer. At the time of his election, the four-million-dollar organization, was losing $500,000 a year. After an exhausted investigation of the company, and through extensive reforms, within a year, the company was making a $200,000 profit, and in following years was making an annual profit of $500,000.
Mr. Jennings’ additional responsibilities were to review financial statements, and work with annual auditors and tax organizations to ensure that all records were accurate. He was the chief organizer of an annual four-company event that had upwards of 10,000 attendees. In this capacity, he was responsible for oversight of multiple food vendors, entertainment ranging from carnival games to musicians at several locations around the property.
He was the primary media leader, creating website construction and upgrades, a monthly magazine for the membership, and announcements as they became necessary.
After leaving the position, Mr. Jennings decided to take his expertise into the hospitality field. As part of his move, he returned to college and graduated with two degrees in Hospitality and Restaurant Management and Culinary Management. After graduating he started consulting with restaurants which were either start-ups, or were struggling to be profitable.
While still involved in this profession, Mr. Jennings was offered a job as an instructor at the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Los Angeles. He consistently scored among the top instructors in areas of retention of students, and student satisfaction.
When Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts closed, Mr. Jennings took his hospitality experience into the field of apartment management. He was hired by United Cerebral Palsy of Los Angeles. He was hired as a Senior Resident Manager which required him to cover five properties and assist with the onsite managers, inspections and repairs.
He is skilled in problem solving, communication (whether written or verbal), and financial situations. Additionally, he types at 60+ wpm and works well with data entry.
