Reports to the human resources manager. Performs a variety of clerical and administrative duties related to human resources administration in compliance with federal, state and local laws. Management & Training Corporation (MTC) and Mississippi Department of Corrections directives.

Perform necessary clerical functions for the HR office.

Maintain up-to-date personnel files.

Ensure all new hire information and other personnel changes are entered into the computer and proper notification forwarded to payroll and ensure adequate and up-to-date personnel records are maintained.

Promote the development of positive skills through modeling appropriate behaviors and intervening when inappropriate behaviors are observed.

Maintain accountability of staff, inmates and property; adhere to safety practices.
