April 2012 – Oct 2017
Initially Working Supervisor from Sep 2012 to Dec 2015 at Jwaneng Diamond Mine and thereafter Site Manager with full responsibility on the same project until Dec 2017.
The Jwaneng Diamond Mine Conveyor project is FLSmidth SSAME major maintenance contract.
We have been providing a highly successful full maintenance service to Debswana on all 111 conveyors, feeders, and tripper cars at Jwaneng Mine.
When we started the mine conveyor system was running at 70% availability which we improve to more than 90%.
I played a key role in this improvement, and I am a specialist on conveyors maintenance matters.
This contract was a complete conveyor system maintenance upgrade and removal contract.
Dec 2017 to Oct 2023:
Site Manager Operation and Maintenance Contract, Khumani SLA on Stackers and Bucket Wheel Reclaimers
Here I was responsible for providing specialized maintenance services to Assmang Khumani operations on 8 Stackers and 6 Reclaimer This contract was for complete equipment maintenance and refurbishment.
Jan 2024 to Date:
Site Manager Operations and Maintenance contract on Anglo/Valterra Platinum Mogalakwena north Concentrator, SLA providing specialized services on FLSmidth installed base equipment which include Gyratory Crushers, HPGR Crusher, Wrap around Ball Mills, Dorr Oliver and Wemco floatation cells and FLS Krebs Cyclones, pumps and valves.
I am responsible for ensuring that specialized maintenance service is provided to the client on all the FLSmidth installed base equipment at Mogalakwena Mine.
My responsibilities on all FLSmidth sites will include but are not limited to: 1. Legal compliance with MHSA and OHS act.
2. Adherence to Client and FLS Policies and Procedures. 3. Adherence to OEM specifications on equipment maintenance, repairs and rebuilds.
4. Adherence and compiling of HIRA and JSA.
5. Identification of critical tasks, analyze and implementing of controls to eliminate risks.
6. Responsible for driving a safety culture within the team. 7. Conducting VFL’s and PTOs.
8. Quality checks and recording of data on repairs done. 9. Monthly, weekly and Shutdown reliability reports with assistance from onsite reliability engineer.
10. Shutdown and maintenance planning and task execution. 11. Managing of site team and their wellbeing.
12. Time and Fatigue management.
13. Site asset management.
14. Site budgeting and cost management.
15. Manage client relationships on site.
16. Participate in client meetings.
