• Manage inventory for 5000+ SKUs for all Foam, Pulp and Plastic cartons. Purchasing also includes 30 SKUs for corrugated boxes.
• Purchase all POs with correct customer pricing while insuring on time arrives. Following up on orders with Vendors to ensure orders are arriving according to their agreed lead time.
• Developed excel spreadsheets to ensure current inventory levels are sufficient based on WOS and updated weekly sales. No ordering ERP system was in place, so I relied on my excellent excel skills to develop intricate spreadsheets to gauge whether POs are needed to be cut or not.
• Develop great Vendor communication with high volume customers such as Walmart, Costco, Safeway, Albertsons, Bashas, Food City and Aldi’s. Also, paid attention to all smaller customer needs and requests.
• Work closely with Sales, and Marketing to insure upcoming advertised products are at correct levels to successfully run for roll out dates.
• Meet weekly with upper management teams to speak/discuss on behalf of all Inventory news, updates and upcoming projects.
• Constantly tracking in bound PO’s and communicate to warehouse when incoming loads are expected order to stage product for delivery.
• Execute cycle counts, making sure FIFO is followed and walking warehouse daily to discovery any issues potentially to arise. • Manage inventory for 500 Nursery SKUs to 76 Stores located through California and Oregon with the help of Manhattan Active SCP and NetSuite ERP. Selected as trainer for new employees on this software for Inventory Management.
• Monitor, managed and reported on DC outs to insure a low percentage of lost sales in Stores.
• Provide order projections for International and Domestic Vendors based on trends to insure product availability
(Chinese New Year). Work closely with Asian QA employees to develop great relationships and communication with overseas Vendors. Constantly insuring product is schedule to ship when communicated and no delays arise.
• Track in bound domestic loads in the Warehouse help of WMS and Vendor relationships. •Meet weekly with Nursery Financial Analyst to review and update KPI based on any increases or decreases, or inventory levels and sales YTD and MTD.
